blimey, never knew that, I had to google it... all those years my Dad called me a berk. If I'd had told my mum she'd have gone berserk LOL!!

You learn something everyday on here...

Berkenhead hunt..... Never been but apparently it's a hunt in Berkenhead... Funny that 😂

Hunt .. well we know what that is
Berk ... That's the Cockney bit

So to call someone a Berk is calling them a C....T

As for this singing section.... Load of Berks 😂😂

The HF adopted block B to be next to the away fans to taunt them. They were sandwiched between the HF and the singing section of the AW. When they were moved to the other end of the AW , the AW singing section spread down towards the Homesdale.
The singing section at Selhurst was originally on the half way line in the old Park Road stand. When the AW got built a section emerged behind the goal on the Homesdale but with no cover, the noise was lost except for really big days.
Then the AW re emerged in the standing section on the halfway line. So we had two singing sections. By default, the two groups kind of merged when the away fans were moved in the AW.
The AW has always been louder because firstly it’s better covered and secondly loads more sing in there. For the Homesdale to get loud it needs the top tier to sing which happens on occasions and then it’s noisy.
The HF became like a song leader in block B which the AW seemed to follow. This season the HF spat its dummy out and vaporised.
They have literally disappeared without trace..
I see two issues moving forward. Firstly there is no guarantee that they will re emerge behind the goal. Secondly there is no certainty they will harmonise from there with the AW choir due to the distance.
And the finally there is clearly a lot of bad blood being generated which is really bad news all round.
Where the HF have gone is anyone’s guess. To be honest I am really disappointed at their approach to this and the club’s. Although I admire the noise they make I am amazed by their disappearing act.
Personally I sit in block X of the AW but hell I would be just as happy to be back in the Homesdale rather than absent.
My love of attending Selhurst is far greater than some dispute about where I am in the ground. Over the years I have watched from all parts of all sides.
I don’t have a solution to what is becoming a very messy affair, but I hope this history lesson may add some thoughts to the situation.

Top post. A hundred noisy berks have the say over the whole club? Parish, hang your head in shame.

We must remember to call opposition players berks seeing as it means the same as Cvnt. Somehow I think not. The meaning or intention of calling someone a Cvnt is not what it was.

Dont think its the Berkenhead (sp Birkenhead?) Hunt - More likely to be the Berkeley hunt, which, Im told, is one of the oldest.

When the time comes, I want die just like my Dad - at peace and asleep.
Not screaming and terrified.
Like his passengers.

The whole Club ??? more like a few hundred people who will have to move seats. Whole club ??? honestly the amount of exaggeration and self interest over atmosphere is astounding.

Parish is doing what he thinks is best for the club and I'm not alone in thinking that overall (as long as the elderly and vulnerable are looked after) he has made the right choice. he was never going to please everyone, so he chose to go with the fans that make the most noise etc etc.

Well Done SP. Hopefully the same thought process will leach into his transfer dealings and we stop signing shyte and vent Freedman.

Hang your head in shame ?! good grief

That's brilliant coming from someone who's debating skills consist of hurling insults and name calling.

Parish has made the only choice he could. He has to try to maintain the atmosphere in the ground and the unique elements the HF bring. Its a business.

"Well done SP"? More like medium rare. I wont go praising Parish just yet, he showed once again, how not to handle a situation. Took way too long, kept people in the dark, made a half hearted decision then went back on it at the first sign of trouble.

If thats the way you want him to run transfers, you already have your wish! See Niasse, Oumar.........

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

For someone whose nearly 60 that's a very mature comment well done. You certainly have shown me the error of my ways and I have changed my opinion of all the moaning myrtles.
