At least in my immediate area they aren’t all wearing them outside but not far away they are. I avoid Caterham valley, even if I need something there. It’s lost my trade. Awful experience. Without a cloth I haven’t had to sneeze or cough all year. Perfectly possible for me doing a shop visit until this was compulsory. I let people pass and smiled. They got more room from me than the mask wearers. When in a mask I’m more likely to cough because of the restrictions on breathing etc. It feels like fit people, and I mean physically fit with a high level of fitness and a lot of stamina are also being punished to wear one when, like I say, I don’t cough, splutter or any of that cr&p anywhere or near anyone. If you asked me on the spur of the moment to cycle over 50 miles I could. It’s a shame people didn’t look after their health more when they can or they wouldn’t be checking everyone else to check they’re wearing a silly flowery hanky over their face like they are.

I hear you. What would be the point in ignoring it? A question that could be levelled at people who ignore 'MSM' as well as those who ignore content from alternative sources. It's always amused me that people who claim the 'MSM' to be entirely useless then spend their entire time only consuming information from one tiny, narrow minded source, then have the gall to claim others are being misled... s*** journalism, bias, sensationalism and clickbait articles are not exclusive to the big boys. How do you think these people fund themselves? Views and clicks. Thinking that because you're 'going against' the grain' means that you are immune from being sold to and misdirected is a little naive. Certainly hypocritical. I'm still yet to hear a better solution to the 'read as may sources of information as you can, those you agree with, those you disagree with, then make up your mind'. It's impossible to be entirely objective but you can at least try.
Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons. |

But to help you out, I’ll Summarise what I’ve already said as you seem to be unable to understand that things are more complex than bad vs good, all in vs not at all. Seems to be a common trait with some on here • Single layer clothmasks are pointless. • The average person does not need to wear medical grade masks, eg n95 models. These items are not designed for extended use, and will cause respiratory issues. Fabric masks, of the kind most people wear, will not. • the best types of mask are ones without valves, multilayered and ideally with replaceable filters, and anti bacterial properties. And even more importantly, bought from reputable sources. The ones used in F1, for example. • And an additional bonus point - People don’t need to wear masks 24/7. Only in indoor areas with poor ventilation or high traffic Edited by SW19 CPFC (10 Dec 2020 10.46pm) Could you point me in the direction or provide examples of where to get one please? It’s easy to get this wrong. It’s a big business. People are getting ripped off everywhere.

I believe that you are fit and healthy, so well done for keeping yourself in shape. We all ought to do that. However, it doesn't actually affect the issue here. Nor does the fact that you don't anticipate coughing or sneezing close to people. None of expect or intend to do that. The fact is we are sometimes caught by surprise but more importantly it's the reassurance given to others that you cannot cough or sneeze over them that's important. If we ALL, (including you), feel confident then we can relax and life becomes more like normal. Remember it's not to protect you. It's to protect others and how they perceive you, if they don't know you, matters.

It's to protect others and how they perceive you, if they don't know you, matters. I’ll concede on this. But once many are vaccinated then this’ll change for me. Sh1tty Whitty and all the freaks wanting masks long term can forget it. But what’s funny is when they weren’t compulsory I got plenty of smiles and thanks when I made plenty of room for older people especially to go by. The influence of fear and brainwashing has been the biggest success of 2020. I can’t think of anything else apart from a vaccine that has loads of issues people assumed wouldn’t be. Even our HOL version of Owen Jones accused me of stupidity for questioning it. Within 1 hour it was becoming a public question they still can’t answer. Edited by Rudi Hedman (11 Dec 2020 12.12pm)

You have to wear a mask at all times indoors and outdoors unless you are eating drinking or driving in a car with a family member. It’s awful but it is the price I’m happy to pay for 23 degrees of sunshine most days throughout the winter.
