Why is Farridge so quiet after stirring the pot for thick racists? And since when is lootng shops, destroying a library and setting fire to a Holiday Inn in Rotherham patriotism? That same Jury's Inn, what is this man holding? Attachment: 3890830_20240804_202245.jpg (127.43Kb)

I have asked three questions in my three posts and none of them have been answered either.

People are entitled to peacefully protest about whatever they like, just so long as they cooperate with the police and stay on the right side of the law. Even if their reasoning has been influenced by misinformation and appears illogical to others. That just means that others, mainly our government, need to peacefully explain why they think their reasoning is wrong. What people not entitled to do is riot, destroy property, injure police and threaten others. Those who do must face the consequences. If people are genuinely concerned about the safety of children, even if they have been misled about the terrible event in Southport, then perhaps they would do well to actually address the biggest danger that our children face today. Which isn’t, despite Southport, people armed with knives, for they are rarely any danger to small children. It’s the internet and it’s all encompassing capacity to spread hatred, sow misinformation, isolate and threaten. I suspect, without proof, that when we get to understand what triggered the senseless attack in Southport, we will learn that the internet’s ability to spread hatred and lies unchecked has played a role. Agitating to get something done about this would bear much heavier fruit than rioting over things that are much more perceptual than reality. Others agree. You might like to read this:- And I suspect, without proof, that the majority of those protesting/rioting are disenfranchised working class people who feel otherwise powerless and are sick of constantly being told they're either wrong, misinformed, thick or drunk.

I too have wondered where Farage is because he could actually do something useful for a change and try and talk some sense to the boneheads. Now he is an MP he does carry some responsibility in that regard. He is probably in the US having a love in with Trump and devising plans with him on how they can support each other. He's probably playing bowls.

These are just more excuses. No citizen in our country is disenfranchised. They all have exactly the same enfranchisement as you or me. They aren’t powerless. What you mean is they don’t like the result of that enfranchisement so have decided to protest. Which is fine, just so long as they do so peacefully. Which some aren’t. It’s them who get described as thick or drunk, often with good reason. If people feel they are being ignored then there are legitimate ways to get noticed. You cannot demand your opinions are going to win. That’s not the way it works in a democracy, but you can make sure they are heard, without resorting to rioting. Should you lose your control and riot then you have lost the right to be heard.

The disturbances are a result of years of disastrous 'government', spurred on by the media, establishment and people like you.
