For the time spent in the Prem and the revenue generated I'm have to question the state of the stadium, scouting, and youth team. A few words outlining plans for the next 3/4/5 years would be appreciated.
Congratulations to Roy and the team for maintaining our position, now let's push on with determination and common sense.

can you please elaborate on that line? i dont understand, i dont think you understand.

But wasn’t it Parish that said fans shouldn’t be happy with survival year on year? Don’t get me wrong I have seen the really bad times but perhaps the chairman should think before he speaks

we have moved on from simply survival every year, we are now competing for a mid-table spot last 2 seasons.

that is progress.

Yes of course I am. None of us know the reasons why money isn't being spent.
If you look at our running costs/overheads since we were promoted and the turnover the club has pulled in we should be able to spend more money than we actually have. It might be that the Americans wont spend any of their own money but then again when the business is turning over 100m a year in just TV income alone I wouldn't be too happy at being asked to dip my hand in my pocket either.
Its all very well Parish banging on about academy status and new main stands but for me this is all just smoke and mirrors. In my opinion The club have generated enough to spend (where the hell has the 45m from AWB gone?) Parish just does not want to spend it.

That has been true for the past few seasons but everyone else is strengthening whilst we stand still. We are lucky Cahill fitted straight in. Luck will not hold forever either.

Whilst I share frustrations with our transfer policy as I’m sure we all do. But what clubs are strengthening? Every year around this time we hear how much better Burnley, Watford, Bournemouth, Brighton, Southampton etc are, and pretty much every year we finish higher than them all

Strengthening means just that, not just buying players

Why are we lucky ? He was a quality signing. No luck involved there. He’s still one of the best centre halves in the division.

I suggest you read the last filed accounts, it is all explained there. To give you a clue, we have the highest earnings to wages ratio in the Premier. It doesn't leave a lot left to invest, in fact a £33m ish loss was reported.

i think the AWB transfer basically meant we have made a small operating profit of about £10m since promotion, some of which was spent in the summer.

and we still owe approx £50m to other clubs for outstanding fees!

i wish people would actually bother to check the facts of the situation before posting.

at least as a club we are not like everton / bournmouth / villa & brighton in being dangerously close of not complying with FFP, even better now the wage cap has been abolished.

Yes, it is huge progress and one that should be recognised quite easily, injury and under performing has not been kind to Mr Hodgson which is very frustrating considering the amount of time we will have left with his expertise orchestrating matters on the pitch, if he had confident and fit players instead of ones the other way round we would without any doubt be even higher up in the table.

As I said, Cahill fitted in. He has been a good signing. Plenty haven't fitted in with our team or style for whatever reason. I don't think many were expecting Cahill to be so good for us - I wasn't.

I am sure my facts are correct, the AWB fee will not be in an annual report until the next filing. In fact we sold the next instalment of the AWB fee to get the money in early, it wasn't reported why, but it would suggest it was needed.
