Even by his standards that's a good one. As we used to say - more front than Gamages.

Apparently TfL are refunding where the vehicle is compliant.

I'm not sorry I don't have a car anymore.

I mean that's probably because that data doesn't exist.

It does exist if you look and are actually interested but sadly cancel culture has slowly erased the counter argument. That being data that would disprove the climate bollo x with facts not emotion!

Can you point me in the direction of this data that would disprove the climate bollox?

To be clear, the opposition to ULEZ is not because people don't believe in climate change, it's because they don't think it should be the taxpayer footing the bill, which is an entirely different argument.

I'm not sure how you are accusing others of dealing with emotions, not facts, when you're very obviously the one arguing against the facts.

If that's your position, fair enough, but don't pretend the facts or data support it.

A bit of context here that the majority of Londoners support the expansion; [Link]

The number of people who are actually going to be impacted by it (ie. people who have non-compliant cars) is being grossly exaggerated, wilfully, because it's an easy stick to beat Labour with at the moment - this expansion has no effect on the vast, vast majority of the country, or indeed Londoners, but it's been easy enough for our wonderful unbiased media to make it the biggest talking point in politics currently.

Starmer/Labour have made an absolute pigs ear of their positioning on this, as they do with everything at the moment, and the Tory media have done their job in getting everyone unduly outraged about it, despite it not even being a Labour policy and despite it not affecting most people.

You could point to plenty of Tory policies and actions over the last few years which have had a considerably bigger impact on the average person's finances, but haven't caused even half of much outrage - funny that.

So if there is only a small number of non compliant cars how will charginging them to enter the zone reduce emissions?

What happens when there are no more non compliant cars? will they remove the camaras or move the goalposts?

Also people who live just outside the zone with poor transport links, have had no say in the scheme nor qualify for the scrappage scheme.

The data relating to ULEZ’s efficacy in terms of improving air quality is in the link I sent previously.

I have no idea what happens further down the line - it will depend who’s in power at the time.

Sure, you could argue those people are a little hard done by.
