Starting to get the feeling Parish just couldn't help himself. It really winds me up when he treats fans like they're 5 years old.

Possibly, but there is still the major question of planning permission.

Defintely..i know the club have been active behind the scenes liasing heavily with the council re. What would or wouldnt be accepted though to ensure once plans were released the likelihood of planning hold ups would be minimal...perhaps they're now at that stage......or maybe not having see ghe above tweet Hahahaha

If true then I'd agree however this could just be the counsellor playing to the gallery... If he had these issues than why not contact SP privately as there is still time before the announcement to sort it out

How can the club or a newspaper state when planning permission is set for. One doesn't even know when the club will apply for it and the club hasn't done this stage the councillor is tweeting about.

This is either unprofessional or sneaky and has either irritated the council or got them ready to cooperate. The problem we have with nowhere to go go doesn't make me hopeful they're falling over themselves to cooperate when they can't make that public now the locals are getting wind of some 'announcement.'

Maybe would've been better to get agreements with sainsburys, liaise with the council in private, then tackle the locals amongst the proper stages of this.

I think Parish has got fed up with the season not starting after a dozen games and wanted to say something good, only it's good if it's going to happen, not that you'd like it to happen.

Wait, is this implying that the behind-the-scenes are organised at Palace?

Knowing Parish, he'll order a load of girders last minute, try bargain the bloke down by a penny, settle for cardboard and duct tape, and slap it up just before kick off!

??? Even tho his assembled the 18th most expensive squad in world football. He might not be perfect but people just speak bollocks for the sake of it. Still the best thing that could of ever happened to our club.

Exactly this. We really do have have some bitter bellends supporting our club. I don’t actually know why they bother and feel that there has to be an element of trolling going on, the way they complain about our situation. Either that or they have a bad case of amnesia.

It was only a joke, Christ... have we lost our sense of humour now?

Whilst I appreciate everything Parish and the board has done, assembling the 18th most expensive squad in the world, when you're in the Premierleague is not hard.

You could've picked any positive about what Parish has done (and I would've agreed with it, because I think Parish is great), and you pick the easiest one to do...

He could walk on water and play centre forward firing us to the PL title and people on here would still have an axe to grind with him, saying that he only did it to feed his ego or some other s***. Ridiculous.

I know. It's absolutely shocking the way some people on this forum have it in for certain people connected with the club
