Probably why they are starting with the elderly and appear to have no rollout plan for those below say 50. It's a catch 22, the safety studies didn't highlight anything overly troubling. They could spend another 18 months double checking to the nth degree, but by that point how many more people will have died of something they otherwise wouldn't have? If you're 80+ you'd be a fool not to have this vaccine. I take it you'll be suggesting to your pops that he has it, and that he wishes too also. If the answer to either of those questions is 'no' then you have far more problems in your near future than moaning about me having an opinion. Family and basic common sense should come before whatever a person's 'covid politics' is.
So they are starting with the elderly because they are not sure how safe it is, because that’s ok if we lose a few more oldies along the way? Thanks for that wonderful interpretation of the roll out. As for what myself and my father do don’t you think that is down to us rather than you. You still haven’t said if you will be rushing down the clinic to take it. Do you not think that asking for safety information and making that information freely available from the government are valid questions? Edited by Eaglecoops (05 Dec 2020 9.32am)

How the death numbers/rates don’t make sense with the other data. If you don’t want to read it, you can click on ‘Escape from lockdown podcast.’ Worth listening to Covid is real but the question is how bad is it really in numbers and trends?

So are you saying my daughter who is hoping to start a family in the not to distant future, should take the vaccine, in the knowledge it could affect fertility? Wonder if you would have had the same views when you first were starting a family. Nice to see you got a dig at the US in, nothing changes. As there is no "knowledge it could affect fertility" that isn't what I am saying at all. What has been said is that there isn't any knowledge that it doesn't affect fertility. That doesn't mean it could. Only that their hasn't been enough time for the statistical evidence to be able to make definitive statements. Science though has enough experience of vaccines to be confident that there is no more risk with this than any of the well known and long-tested others. So I would be telling your daughter that on balance it is much safer for her, and her ability to have a family, to accept the vaccine than refuse it. It is what I would tell my grandchildren, although one, who is a nurse, doesn't need telling. She understands the balance very well.

If you are a young woman or indeed male, interested in having children take medical advice that you trust before taking any new drug. A young person's fertility is not to be taken lightly....as those who can't have children know all too well.

These evictions are happening in 43 states so include democrat states. There’s also a tendency for a lot of Americans to close their eyes to events abroad, or even abroad even exists. There’s acknowledging Covid but questioning the level of interventions and then there’s ignoring it completely with a high BMI.

We put this down to her having a ridiculously hot flat. Her doctor could not determine the nature of the rash. A few months later, similar type rashes were announced as a symptom of Covid. Who knows.

As we don't yet know the long term health implications of C19 I know what I would choose. That also seems to be the view of the health care professionals that I trust. So I think I would heed their advice rather than internet chatter, some of which is rumoured to start its "fairy whispering" journey in Russia.
