Grandad lecturing on concerns of fertility when government documents say they have no idea. Unsurprisingly. Wisdom comes with age! Isn't it past your bedtime? Would you like a little story to help you get to sleep and keep the nasty people away?
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

Agree. Those at risk the odds I taking it are worth it. 100%. The government have been shy to distinguish the risk level, by pushing unfortunate younger outliers at times. Any death is a tragedy, but for instance masses of Uni students had Covid and almost universally they breezed through it. Put a group of 85 years in that same set up and the outcome would be horrendous, and so people need to factor this is when they consider vaccination and the like. Risk to reward considerations and all that..

This place is exhausting these days. Like a weird cult. When you get called out for your BS you revert to your usual few word replies. That’s after going all silent after you questioned why I raised the matter of vaccinated people still being infectious, and then them having no idea if they are, which is exactly the case. How to make yourself more of a fool in 48 hours.

Agree again. I held this view months ago. It was the false hope I had a bit of an issue with. But I suppose they had to manage the public mindset or expectations. They might’ve known this would’ve gone on for a year or two. Nudge nudge. If this does actually save them with limited testing then marvellous.

Sweden positive cases have trebled in 8 weeks. We have a spike in Bromley and Lewisham but it appears to be a milder version according to my GP friend. 2 of my mates have been confirmed positive one has no symptoms the other a mild cough and a slight temperature which is good news as he is over 60 and diabetic. So let's hope it's getting weaker here.

Sweden positive cases have trebled in 8 weeks. Not likely. This is winter, all respiratory illness will increase as it deepens. Let's not forget the disasters that were predicted for Sweden....not just a little worse than their neighbours but ridiculous numbers of deaths. Sweden has proven, at least to me, that their guidelines were the better course.

Blind faith is when nothing at all is known and you trust to luck. With this a great deal is known about vaccines in general and also that this one will protect you from C19 and help to gradually bring it under control. Dying has a pretty drastic impact on fertility. If we all waited and did nothing, as some here seem to advocate, we would be in even a bigger mess as the USA isheaded for right now. So are you saying my daughter who is hoping to start a family in the not to distant future, should take the vaccine, in the knowledge it could affect fertility? Wonder if you would have had the same views when you first were starting a family. Nice to see you got a dig at the US in, nothing changes.
