I'm not partisan in the slightest, but it's funny how the Labour stance on Brexit effectively goes against the interests of the 'working class'. How times change. Edited by Rubin (06 Sep 2017 11.10pm) Yep. Most of the elite who run Labour aren't working class and are a long way removed from blue collar attitudes. They are far more interested in internationalism than British 'white van man or woman'. They are just as morally arrogant and sanctimonious as any Tory toff is entitled.

I was active at a branch level of the Labour Party many years ago in Croydon - you could see the rot setting in then. On the one hand you had older, often trade union, working people. On the other, university educated, upwardly mobile or middle class, right on, crypto-communists. The latter dismissed the former as racist, reactionary, ignoramuses. The former considered the latter w**k**s*. Edited by hedgehog50 (12 Sep 2017 8.24am)

A lot of the working class don't really have much in the way of choices that actually give a damn about them.

Hopefully the pillars of society will dissolve fairly soon or we might have to face up to a truly painful realisation that many of our established politicians might over over-exagerated to negative effects of Brexit for their own personal gain. *begins to sob uncontrollably*

Just gets better by the day. Even an MP that makes Gusset look like a 'Cund' votes against Corbyn.

Labours 'abject failure' over Brexit: "The reason that this is so damaging is that Labour has been exposed as completely opportunist and untrustworthy on the biggest issue facing the country. Corbyn put party interest before national interest, and has been found out"

Genuine question; are all you Brexiteers genuinely happy with how things seem to be going currently?

I wasn't a brexiteer, but the longer this childish threatening/bullying goes on, the more in favour of just terminating the talks and walking away I am. It will be very painful, but you can't negotiate with some people (particularly those who try to hold you to ransom by refusing to discuss any of the multiple points that need discussion until you agree to their demands on something else) and it just seems a waste of everyone's time
