Found within this article is a Bank of England report from 2015 that found that mass immigration has lowered wages. It's simple supply and demand. More competition for jobs, wages go down. I'm not partisan in the slightest, but it's funny how the Labour stance on Brexit effectively goes against the interests of the 'working class'. How times change. Here's an explanation: It clearly states it is a directive replacing 'piecemeal' legislation dating back to the 1970's but it is a new EU directive, not an 'amendment'.
