I see it, very condescendingly and perhaps ignorantly, as just a general failing in understanding football really.

If Parish were not chairman would he not just be 'another fan'. He may well have far greater business insight than the next guy but not an automatic qualification for understanding football IMHO. Mind you, the billionaires that own Chelsea seem to know what they're doing...

Surely we have a director of football, whose job is, to direct the football?

We don't know the workings of the club and it is really unfair to blame someone for something without knowing who is really responsible.

Yep agree with all of that and that's why I think real thought needs to go into this and a realistic alignment between the board and those on the pitch. Seems daft to say however I am inclined to believe the decision making is not always thought out to the extent we might imagine.

Let's just be thankful we are seeing the Eze we all dreamed of back....

Agreed. I also think its sometimes tricky to get the person you want for a job across the line. I find it hard in my world and its a far less pressured environoment!

I was making the point in relevance to the recruitment and appointment of a manager. I would assume Parish bears the biggest brunt of responsibility there... as he would for a 'Director of Football'? My comment wasn't an attack on Parish either I am not particularly in that 'camp'.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

If Roy does indeed keep us up…there is a strong case for at least a further year of stability under the same management team. I appreciate Paddy is only just learning his trade - but I like what I see!

Agree,Paddy did an excellent job with the Under 21 team, but has no experience at Premiership level, other than a 4-1 thrashing at Arsenal.
Probably,a long term proposition, with the likes of Rogers or Cooper being appointed in the Summer??

Or Potter? He did a brilliant job at Brighton, which we shouldn't hold against him

To the contrary I would love that just to spite BHA! Might be in a small minority there but Glenn Murray didn't do too badly for us.

He lives in Hove - it's tough enough being a Palace fan there let alone being Palace manager !

He's waiting to see how Southampton end up, that's where he wants to go.

He's a multi-millionaire before the Chelsea job, now he's got dumb rich money with his severance.

He can afford to buy a Palace in Purley, or if he loves his home in Hove, he can probably afford to keep that as well and move back in 5 years when he's not the Palace Manager and it's all forgotten about.

I'd humbly suggest that Potter wouldn't struggle to purchase property elsewhere, even London, if necessary and S'ton may well be in the Championship soon!

I remember wanting him before he went to Leicester. I'd be ok with him coming in, but I don't think he will. He speaks fluent Spanish and I just have a feeling he might go abroad to top up his tan.

Que?

Arne Slot is being mentioned quite a bit, moving to the Premier seems his next move.

Kompany has been added to Spurs shortlist, as repeated constantly on Talk Sport, as if it is some sort of honour. Comical.
