I think I’m right in saying wba could be relegated on tues night if the result goes in favour of either Swansea or Southampton , then wba are gone if it ends in a draw they might scrape through by beating us and a gd swing . Ifs and buts and all that

If Swansea win, it's less of a goal difference swing. but one or the other need to lose both remaining games. As the play each other, it is still possible for either to go down, but not both.

I put £25 on Southampton to be relegated back in February. Stood to win £150, but cashed out for £72 last weekend.

Now I want Saints to survive to vindicate my decision, but would also love to see Hughes relegated.

Yep. Saints to beat Swans is reasonably likely based on current form. Relegates West Brom

Baggies can still get 1 more point than Swans in that scenario. But gone.

West Brom are goosed unless all of the following happen:

- Swansea and Southampton draw
- Swansea lose to Stoke (who today were toilet)
- Southampton lose to Citeh
- West Brom themselves turn Palace over and
- West Brom beat Palace by four goals minus however many Southampton lose by against Citeh.

Odds for them getting flushed: 100/1 on.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

I think that we should have a sweepstake for when Willo will start spreading his doom and gloom next season

I'll put my money on sometime tomorrow, after he's figured out that we can't get docked points or anything and that we really can't get relegated this time round.

Everton did Huddersfield a huge favour, not that it'll help them much, as they have Citeh, Chelsea and the Arse to play over a seven day period and I can't see them picking up any more points. Would rather see Swansea go down and Cardiff carking tomorrow, personally.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Honestly I wouldn't begrudge WBA a win on the final day. Palace have done their job, and are safe. If WBA are really up for it, well played to them. Darren Moore has done a terrific job for them.

I f*cking would. There are no circumstances where I'd be ambivalent about a Palace defeat. We will do them no favours next weekend and quite right too, especially after their suspiciously questionable win on the last day of the 2004/5 season which sent us down. F*ck them - I hope they go down.

Is the right answer, of course.

I never want to see a Palace team on the beach, performances like United's on Tuesday disgrace their clubs and disrespect every other club.

It's a pity Pardew won't be there to collect his prize.

This is one of those where we can't have our cake and eat it unfortunately.

If Pardew stayed they'd already be gone and we couldn't relegate them. Because he's gone, West Brom have done well enough to possibly take it to the last day and now we'll just be relegating another club like Stoke. No one particularly wants to celebrate it because it's sad for the fans.

I'd of loved to have either relegated West Brom with Pardew, Brighton or Huddersfield. That would feel sweet and I wouldn't feel bad seeing the crying faces in the away end.

Stoke was sad today. Hate Shawcross but Butland and fans crying isn't a nice sight and could so easily be us. I want to feel a hatred for the club so that doesn't bother me.

Two reasons to go for a win against WBA Craig and Dawson

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).
