Clean sheet and 3 pts away at peer group club. Your bizarre anti Roy obsession is simply disproved by results. Now you're calling long term fans gutless. Then you switch to a Roy is old rather than Roy is rubbish so your previous Roy rants are moot because he's old. Everyone can post what they think here and uninformed rubbish is allowed so carry on. Fans can have some guts, or be gutless and timid and fear change and only think it will bring a negative result. That is exactly the defeatist attitude that Roy had for the Spurs game, so I can understand defeatist negative people thinking that a different manager to Roy would definitely mean WORSE results. Its familiar to me as this negative defeatist approach is what RH sends the lads out with half the time, like at Spurs. In just a short 12 months, every single person here saying that RH is our best manager ever will be losing Mr Hodgson to retirement. Then we have to find a new manager anyway. Roy isnt 45 years old unfortunately. Edited by HKOwen (07 Apr 2019 1.28am)
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

We have to make change summer 2020, so why back Roy this summer if a year later it's all change? New manager with 60 million in the kitty and a further 15 million in january would be great to build around said players. Thing is, who and will it work this time?

Rubbish. It was a brilliant end result, it was not a brilliant performance. It was another crap performance. Newcastle had 18 shots, we had 3. We had one shot on target, which was a penalty. When you win 1-0 after having 1 shot on target, a set piece, then you were damn lucky. When you claim that is a brilliant performance you look downright foolish. when were you last at a game mate? The hear hear wasn"t about all of the posters comments, ie the performance, just the other 90% of his comments, you fool!

I don't care how much posession and how many shots the other team have. Especially this time of the season when so many teams relegation candidates.

Roy isnt 45 years old unfortunately. Really can’t agree with this post or other negative ones. I’m afraid this reeks of delusions of grandeur and almost like a spoilt child. Outside of the top 6, with perhaps Everton as well, all PL clubs are a couple of hiccups away from relegation and are all really relegation candidates until about 38 points/10 games to go. I want to be clear - I think it is time to for Roy to go but amicably. He has kept us safe this season, again, but the team really lacks heart and is quite frankly underperforming. As previously mentioned, I’m a season ticket holder and seriously questioned renewing it this season although have done. Home form has been scandalously awful and dropping 6 to BHA n Watford is unacceptable IMO Whatever happens next will be a risk and there have been times this season when I have wanted to jump on the ‘angry’ Roy out campaign and equally bemoan Parish too. But I do ultimately trust Parish and hope that whoever he brings in next will at least keep us in the PL (as Roy has done) and hopefully produce more. All’s well that ends well and using words like “negative defeatism” is laughably ignorant when you look at the big picture. Our best hope for next season is to have one similar to Watford this season or Burnley a couple years ago, which isn’t a million miles off. Can understand frustration but general attitude towards Roy and Parish from some is ridiculous.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

And fans aren't '' gutless '' or '' timid '' just because they don't agree with your opinions. I'm pro Roy ( you may have guessed ) but of course there will be a time when he isn't our manager. And I don't '' fear '' that change, it's the timing of it that you and I disagree on. I would contend that the most negative person on this thread is actually you !

Will take the win but its arsenine to not understand the nature and manner of the win. Due to some luck and key players individual talents. There was not a shred of manager genius in that. Fact. Definitely not the way to progress as a team. Any blind mole will have an acorn every so often. CPFC needs to aspire to be the club that it can be with enlightened, agile and modern management. So not Roy. Other wise we will forever stay a mom and pop club tittering between premier league relegation and the championship. The output of the whole club falls way short of the cumulative sum of the individual players I think you'll find that's what they are there for. So lose and it's the managers fault. Win and he takes no credit whatsoever. I really think you lack an even basic understanding of what CPFC is all about, and football in a broader sense. Anyway, I take it that you are basing your comments on media reports of yesterdays game as you weren't watching any more games while Hodgson was in charge.

Yeah, whatever. I watched the highlights and the stats mate. Roy so predictable - his football basically a sight for sore eyes. I do know much about football and am an eagle through and through. Surviving on luck with no clear winning game plan is in my opinion far divorced from the palace brand many cherish. have a nice day!

Frustratingly, I think with a bit more adventure, particularly at home, and a bit better use of subs, we could have had that this season.

If Roy does stay I would like to see an improvement in our transfer policy. If this means getting new personnel involved then so be it. We need players who can do the job for us such as a dead ball specialist and goal finisher. They must be starters or players that the manager is comfortable bringing in quickly to the first team if needs must. No players with supposed talent but not getting picked. In summary I would like the manager, money men and scouting system to be synergistic.
“ [T]here are known knowns; there are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns; that is to say there are things that, we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns – there are things we do not know we don't know. ” |

Roy isn't good enough for a contract extension But he's not bad enough to have it cancelled early Don't forget the job he did for us last year. In my opinion, he deserves some loyalty. Let him see out next season, then we can all move on.
