Everton telling fans they won’t be allowed to attend game this weekend unless they can prove they are Covid negative! Is this the way forward? Unfortunately I suspect so.

I jolly well hope it will not remain compulsory on aircraft. Won’t it take you back to your Battle of Britain days Willo?

They've had mass testing there for a while as a pilot (not sure if it is still going on) but I think it has been relatively easy to obtain a test if you want one.

High-pitched guffaws in 'Chez Willo' Back in the late 70s, I knew a charming old gentleman whose mind sadly was far removed from what it was in his earlier days.He used to call me "Wing Commander" and engage in conversations about aerobatics, citing "Loop the loop" on numerous occasions. In his mind I was in the RAF.He was a lovely human being and loved by many.

Her indoors just informed me that we are 'doomed to stay on this godforsaken island forever' as she won't take a vaccine. We have an older child who was fine as a baby and toddler - got his vaccinations, fell ill and is now, well, far from alright. So I can hardly blame her. She suspects you will have to have the vaccine to travel.

‘ Jonathan Van-Tam warns that face masks could be necessary 'for YEARS' despite vaccine and could become as commonplace as in the Far East (before Boris Johnson interrupts to say things WILL get 'back to normal')’

I jolly well hope it will not remain compulsory on aircraft. I suspect it will be for a good while yet, at least until after vaccination certificates become compulsory before reservations are accepted, and it is established that vaccination prevents both the disease effects and transmission. Airlines won't want to take risks and need to reassure people it's safe to fly as much in their commercial interests as for any public concerns. Putting up with a little discomfort seems a small price to pay, but that choice will always be there.
