On the subject of herd immunity, the Mail are reporting on a study published this week which proves the virus was present in the West last December, much earlier than previously thought. This once again begs the question; how can a virus which is supposedly far more infectious than the flu infect under 10% of our population in an entire year when the flu itself only takes 4-5 months to burn out?

Nobody will answer this question that if it’s spreading with or without taking a vaccine, because this vaccine reduces symptoms rather than making people immune, then why are the hysterical bothered if people in their vicinity haven’t had the vaccine?
If the vaccine reduces the death toll then that's acceptable regardless of it being a silver bullet as that probably comes later? I've long stopped trying to figure out what goes through Karen and Ken's head.....I gave up when I realised it stops at 'save granny' and that's it. They just nod along to anything. Lots of them are very nice people and include family members.

If the vaccine only reduces symptoms and doesn't provide immunity then it will mean that the hospitals will still be clogged up with numbnuts who refuse to get vaccinated because they believe they know better than medical science. I knew you would say this and avoid the question. Come on, you don’t know, do you?

He was completely wrong on his point though. There are and were reasons to criticise the EU but that wasn't one of them. You have a habit of sticking up for people that are completely wrong and shouting down people that are right don't you? Weird little habit. I'm hardly shouting. As a general criticism of the EU it was perfectly valid. Politics is tribal....and it gave me an opportunity to call you a corporate commie...Come on Dan, you take it all too seriously.

In fact that's always been the case. We only ever needed guidelines.....well most of us.

My point which I keep trying to make is this. It does not make sense in any possible way that a MORE infectious virus takes LONGER to pass through the population. The virus was here last December and no lockdown was imposed until March. It simply isn't possible that the virus has only infected 10% of the population or less in that time.
