A club statement, reported by The Telegraph, said: “Everton Football Club categorically denies that a bid has been submitted to Crystal Palace for Wilfried Zaha that included an increased sum plus Cenk Tosun and James McCarthy.

I don't think they ever made the second bid.

I am not a bot. No, seriously, I'm not.

Fraser and Ibe on free transfers. Batshuayi on loan. Plus Nathan Ferguson equals 4. Chelsea want rid of Bats, but want too much in fees and his wages are high for a 4th string striker - Werner, Abraham, Giroud, Bats. Loan may be the only option and it has Palace written all over it.

I doubt Chelsea want to loan Batshuayi AGAIN. Premier League clubs know what he can do. It's time to pay for him.

I do not think any PL club will meet Chelsea’s valuation, mainly due to his lack of playing time. Also very few would be prepared/able to match his wages.
IMO Bats will be another Chelsea player spending his peak years sitting in the stand

I’ve said it before, some players would rather sit on a top 6 team bench than play in a bottom 14 side.

What a good window to me would be the below, drastically lowered wage bill which means we can spend again.

BUY

RB Fergusson (Signed)
CB ??? (Someone around the age of 25 mark)
LM Fraser (50k offered)
CAM Eze (12m rejected)
RM Sarr (Rumoured when Wilf goes)
ST Taylor (Free)
ST Watkins (Probably around 18m)

SELL

Sakho (Going back to France)
Benteke (Anyone desperate)
Wickham (Free somewhere)
Wilf (40m back to Utd or Arsenal)
Meyer (Roy don't like him obv)

’m being told that his signing could coincide with the release of the new kit for the season that’s why we are holding off releasing the kit.

I have been told we are in for a further 3 attacking minded players & possibly a defender.

Brentford’s game tonight will also decide on our options as if they win promotion we will change our target to the guy at Celtic if they lose then we will be in for Watkins.

McCarthy looks like he is going could form part of the deal with Celtic?

Be patient we will sign 3-4 players.

I really hope what you say comes to fruition this time. Eze is looking the most likely deal at the moment given the amount of noise coming out of reputable sources. I can't see Palace paying more than 15-20m for a Championship forward, so that might possibly rule out Watkins? Edouard would be amazing, but given Lennon's recent comments it would surely take a huge fee north of 30-40m to even get to the table, and even then, the player may be setting his aspirations a lot higher than us.

Telling people to be patient would be ok if our patience hadn't long been tested in the last few windows! Sod patience, sign some players now you shower of b******s

If we had sold Wilf last year, and apparently no one offered us what we think he is worth (70 mill), we may well have got relegated, so having Wilf helped us to stay in the Prem, worth 100 mill at least, if we get 40 mill this year we are quids in, i actually think we will get close to 60 mill for him, tied up in a swap deal, and for whats its worth i think Parish and Dougie are doing a pretty good job, my only beef is the delay in the new stand, now almost 70 i want it built whilst the journey from MK is comfortable

Parish and freedman doing a pretty good job? Needed to strengthen for last 5/6 windows and never addressed. You on drugs?

According to The Times, we have offered £8m for Eze with £4m worth of add ons.

Does that constitute a serious bid ? - I'd say not.

I saw an article, I think it was on Newsnow, that QPR wanted £16m upfront for Eze.

If true an absolute p take. We really are amateurs when it comes to transfers or we just don’t have the money, if so, why not?
