I don't see how election spending pledges happen with brexit.

What would get my vote would be a brexit tax surcharge on incomes.

Preferably to be paid by the people who voted for it, that is just.

People in the UK, particularly over brexit, are selfish and never consider the detail or consequence of their actions.

Make them pay.

Sure right after we implement the "Virtue Signalling" tax for celebrities, naturally as the money will go to good causes they won't complain.

It will have to be paid for like everything else.

Down the years.

So why not plan for that instead of perpetually deceiving ourselves.

The majority of people have never given the slightest thought to how much they are spending, you never read or see anything about the price of all this and how it is to be paid.

I am expecting recession and unemployment, the figures are already showing us.

Other countries too but they don't have brexit weighing them down all the time.

The state of people teeth countrywide is terrible for some it's the cost for others it's the lack of an NHS dentist but for many it's pure ignorance.

I had problems with my teeth when I was young so going to the NHS dentist every 6 months was a necessary evil and it became habitual. I still go every 6 months although I had to go private for lack of NHS dentists.

I am amazed at the number of people who tell me they never visit a dentist in many cases it simply they because don't think they need to, until of course they do.

Add into this the amount of sugar people now eat and it's no surprise that this is a health issue.

Labour maybe onto something here we have to get people going to the dentists at least once a year. We also need more NHS dentists. So fair play to Labour they are trying something.

Yes, it's certainly a much better idea than the broadband one. The cost to the NHS of people not looking after these teeth is immense, and if people knew they could at least get a free clean, and in indication of any problems present and the consequences of leaving them, they would have the opportunity to make better choices.

Healthspan is just as important as lifespan, and many if not most people are positively negligent when it comes to taking basic steps to ensure that they stay fit and well.

They also don't have 27 other countries having an effective veto over their trade policy.

Dental check-ups are already free for those who cannot afford to pay. Labour will once again bill taxpayers hundreds of millions to extend provision to people who have the means to afford it.The cost has been estimated as £450 Million, each year.

Why not visit the brexit thread and tell us what our trading position would have been on 1st November.

Trump - no thanks UK.
Europe -none in place.
WTO - suing for compensation and blocking as well.

Only in theory as that only applies to NHS dental practices and they seem to be rarer than hen's teeth nowadays

So when are you starting this new job as a life coach nanny?

I'm being a bit harsh to a well meaning post but that all comes across as a bit patronising.

You will not get NHS treatment free anywhere.

It was about £250 to start with, not sure now, the proposal is to remove the first tier only to encourage better dental health which is very necessary.

I don't think that will cost very much.

Remember most of us pay for the NHS through taxation.

The cost, if true from W, of 450 millions, would only buy you a few feet of HS2 railway track.

That HS2 track will help grow the economy.....the NHS swallows it.

The bulk of the NHS budget goes on fixing health problems we should be preventing. Japan puts a large amount of taxpayer money into keeping people healthy which is more cost effective then having to cure them.

I would rather we do the same and yes that maybe nanny state but as it's the taxpayers money I would rather its spend on teaching people how to cook and stay fit than paying for some lard arse' multiple medications for blood pressure diabetes , cholesterol etc. All so can continue to trash their bodies at out expense.

So when it comes to health, more nanny state please.
