Indeed - it's merely one in the myriad Brexit scare-stories concocted by these pro-EU nutters. It's all irrelevant when (apparently) WW3 is coming if we leave. According to them, the end of the world is nigh and there will an immediate cessation of trade with the EU if we leave !!!!

If we leave it's possible to plunge Europe into WW3 , the four horsemen will appear and it will be end of days.

At the moment we are paying far more than every other member nation in % terms (and will continue to do so whilst our economy does better than the EU). Also we cannot sustain immigration levels at the rate they are arriving. Geographically there is a limit on space and infrastructure that has probably been exceeded already. The idea of the EU doesn't faze me at all, but the experience is not acceptable and we must vote out to reshape our future. Ah it was such a splendid sunday afternoon enjoying the sunshine with Hoof. We know we are just footsoldiers for our respective causes so things could remain cordial for one day only. I explained to him that doing an economics degree wasnt entirely useless and indeed i learned some valuable life skills, like pool sharking, lighting farts and being able to drink a pint of bitter in 2.5 seconds. Hoof nodded in approval. I also commented that i didnt receive one bet for my compelling offer of 50 lap dances if any of his regiment could say that 99% of their DAY TO DAY legal stuff is not covered by uk law, but not even a single punt even from the more vocal members of the regiment including cucking, davemonkey, willo and Dannyh. "Them blo$dy english! Just cant rely on em" He hoofed. "You cant say THAT, i protested, thats bigoted" to which he replied "dont be a t*** johnyboy" er ok then but does this mean that there is a possibility you will become a Brighton supporter? Or perhaps danny, davemonkey, willo and cucking are softening towards the remain campaign? Hoof remained eerily silent.

In the name of balance, it won't also be the case that the UK will be overrun with tides of migrants and refugees whilst under the political yolk of the EU jack boot either, if it remains. Hyperbole, on any side, cheapens the whole thing to a charade. I'm starting to think neither side actually has a valid argument, and that maybe they just have an agenda.

It's more about peace within the EU but the Germans have learnt their lesson.

Which is what we will become. The European Trade Association, which means pretty much belonging to the EU in all but name. In fact, the UK would be worse off if it went down this route. It would retain Free movement, EU trade obligations and be subject to much of the EU legislation, without the veto and will less capacity to influence the out come of EU decisions. It'd reduce our financial contribution, but then also reduce our capacity to EU grants and subsidies as well. Realistically, the UK either needs to remain in, or completely out, so it can negotiate its relationship with the EU as an independent (the idea of the UK being completely separate from Europe isn't realistic - We have ties that predate the EU and our proximity means having to deal with the EU and EU influence, as an outsider. The situation of Norway arguably delivers a lot more feeling of national sovereignty, but not the reality.

To quote the great Winston: Which for me, describes what the EU should be about, the idea of drawing nations closer and forging links (such as shared technology projects etc) and providing resolution for problems and issues that cannot be resolved nationally.
