Only down side is that if this does happen, what am I going to do with all the spare time I have that I've been using to check this thread every 30 seconds?
Austin wants to stay in London so fingers crossed on that one.

If this is a done deal. Am I the only one that thinks we've 'nicked him' for 10 million. 29 right at his peak. If we've got a middle 3 of puncheon , jimmy Mac and cabaye for under 25 million, that's blinding. How much did Chelsea give for the Portuguese fella last year? on the nose. weve signed players of this quality before ie Lombardo etc, but never when theyv'e been in their prime He's 1 year younger than Lombardo was when we signed him. age doesnt neccessarily come into it. Lombardo didnt
after palace ? i thought we was talking about before he signed for palace. read it again. any way its different to a host of epl clubs and the likes of athletico madrid chasing you as opposed to 1 italian club playing in a 2 bob league For most of the 90's seria A was the best league in Europe , before he signed for palace he played for juventus , one of the best in Europe and after palace he played for lazio who were still a good side , either way your talking nonsense.

SSN reporting that personal terms are 80 per cent complete now. If we pull this off, this will be a real statement of intent. That's rubbish, contract terms all agreed 2 days ago, not sure why it has not been signed yet could be that S Parish is busy signing a forward,

There's no percentage of completion like with a jigsaw puzzle. Ridiculous comment: Weekly wage Each of these will take time... and when 80% are agreed then personal terms are 80% complete

Journos will be ringing SP and anyone who is anyone continually for updates. There'll talk to some, not others but will often give them something. So the 80% remark is likely to have come from someone inside the club to a journo as a holding response to questions. And if so it looks good.

im a bit confused now and probably like you a bit bored with it. my original point was that cabaye is a more high profile signing now than lombardo was then. rightly or wrongly thats my opinion
