He asked how NZ compared economically and I posted a link to an FT article providing multiple evidence that it was recovering well because it has been able to fully open up it’s economy due to the decisive action it took right at the beginning. Him dismissing it out of hand because apparently the FT is ‘biased’ is an agenda. Me responding to his query of how they’re doing economically isn’t.

No, he has been discredited because he didn’t follow the party line. His medical qualifications are not in doubt. Also, with regard to describing himself as Chairman he said Chair of the pathology dept not the whole college so this has been mis-reported. He is a bona fide medic and his opinion is as valid as any other practitioner. Edited by Eaglecoops (30 Nov 2020 11.29am) Quote "On November 19, 2020 the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Royal College) was made aware of statements regarding COVID-19 by a Royal College Fellow, Dr. Roger Hodkinson. Although Dr. Hodkinson has never made the claim, in some online references, Dr. Hodkinson is being incorrectly identified as a chair/past-chair of the Royal College. We would like to clarify that Dr. Hodkinson is not nor has ever held the position of chairman of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. We can confirm that Dr. Roger Hodkinson was certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as a general pathologist in 1976. The Royal College believes COVID-19 presents a serious threat to the health of Canadians. The Royal College strongly supports all public health advice given by the Chief Public Health Officer of Canada, including recommendations to practise physical distancing and to wear masks to help prevent COVID-19 transmission. We are very appreciative of the dedication and commitment of our Royal College Fellows, residents and all front-line health care workers in the fight against COVID-19."

What point are you trying to make? The guy did not say he was chair of the Royal College he said he was chair of Pathology. So, he never claimed to be what was refuted in their statement. If someone reported him as having held that position then they were incorrect, however in that interview he said nothing of the sort. So are you suggesting his information should be de-bunked simply because someone has said he didn’t hold the office that he never claimed to?

So Hancock is specifically asked “will people not be allowed to go to certain places if they don’t take the vaccine”? His reply completely and utterly ignored the question even though it was explicit. This is exactly why I do not trust this government or anyone in it, or what they tell us. The only answer you can infer from his response is that yes, you will indirectly be enforced to take it if you want to ever visit a public place again.

There seems to me to be a link between those wishing to debunk virus risks using expert evidence. Fair enough, so long as the expert evidence is properly tested. In my view the expert here has been dismissed by the Royal College and pretty promptly. Do you want to keep NHS staff safe?
