Such a fundamental change to the UK must be based on an informed view the public do not have that only a tissue of lies. An overwhelming majority say 75/80% that's different. Conservatives and particularly Mrs Thatcher always deeply distrusted the idea of referenda maybe seeing it as a route for the nazis in the 30's. A vote of 51% could change by the hour.

It's about immigration and independence from an increasingly closer union. That's what the vast majority voted leave for. That's what the vast majority voted leave for. Not a vast majority 51 to 49% as you already know, probably a vote to remain would win now because people get sick of uncertainty but that is conjecture.

He means the vast majority of the 51% which is correct. Many who may suffer from and regret that choice probably got caught up in the Farage fervour and if it's good enough for Boris mentality.

Edited by matt_himself (08 Aug 2017 7.35pm) You sound envious. Is it that difficult for you in a city like London to meet and evolve friendships with such people these days? I mean i was only there for 40 years so maybe it has changed. My friendships with an evangelical, a British Indian or three, a British Caribbean or two and gay are/were fond memories. Maybe you should try harder to integrate.

(08 Aug 2017 6.54pm) Yep all very relevant because when investment dries up in an economy, that economy's currency will relflect that very fact. It's doing that right now as it's in free fall. It's even hurting UK manufacturers as most of their raw materials and components come from the EU and are priced in Euros. Also, on a much smaller and irrelavant scale, those Brits on vacation in the Eurozone will find they are getting much, much lower than they expect when exchanging Sterling for Euros.
