Well it’s true that I haven’t been there for a very long time so I believe you, but with the average house price there being almost £800,000 (just looked it up) there must be a very large number of home owners in that bracket. I see no significance in it at all. The SE counties were pretty solidly Leave and you can hardly find a more desirable SE town than Sevenoaks, one of the most expensive places to live in the UK.

Brexit did have some wealthy backers, some of whom I suspect may be regretting it. Other whose wealth seemed to have arrived overnight. There are more appropriate threads to discuss the charges facing Trump but for anyone to describe them as ridiculous, when he did much of what he stands accused of in plain sight, is ridiculous itself. I see no unjustified accusations against GB News or its presenters. By its own admission it is not a real news outlet, so the criticism is both acceptable and fair. I heard no one say that “all Brexiteers are racists and stupid”. Only that some are. Which is undoubtedly true.

Is this not a thread about Mr Toad and his private banking troubles? Coutts is just a jumped up footballers bank anyway. The real money goes to places like C. Hoare & Co. (puns aplenty)

If you think that Trump's charges are anything more than the misuse of law courts to damage him, then you are bonkers. You clearly need to pay more attention to the real world.

It’s clearly you who needs to pay attention. Do you understand how things like this really work in the USA? This isn’t the special prosecutor indicting Trump. He just gathers and presents the evidence. It’s a grand jury of Trump’s peers who reviews that evidence and decides if there is a case to answer. Apparently there are 84 witness statements in that evidence. All of them Republicans. Not one Democrat. That’s pretty smart thinking by the prosecution. Now Trump has been warned by the Judge about making threats, which he openly did again immediately afterwards. She won’t tolerate being threatened and he could be jailed tomorrow. This could get very nasty very quickly. This man’s a real danger to life.
