I have just looked at the table at this stage last season (25 games) we were 12th same as this season and 2 points better off (29 points)
This season we have a -11 goal difference and last season we were on 0 . I believe we had also scored 15 more goals.

Last season the third bottom team had 21 points same as this season , however a worrying thing is the second bottom team had 18 and Watford were cut adrift on 15. This season the bottom 3 all have 21 points and all within 6 points of us.

It’s going to be one hell of a scrap and I don’t think this squad after all I’ve said have the passion to deal with such a battle….. especially when we relying on “easier games” there is no easy game we are playing the teams around us and they will be fighting for their lives.

I’m now very concerned

When one considers the damning statistics, it is little wonder that genuine concern is spreading amongst our supporters.
The 'Direction of travel' is alarming, the wind is not blowing in the right direction and my reservoir of a degree of positivity is starting to run dry.

Bizarrely there is still a 'Cushion' between ourselves and the relegation zone but the gap could well be eroded significantly in the next few games. We are staring down the barrel of a gun with no reason to believe that we will engineer a revival.

Yes indeed the cushion will dissapear and I also think I goal difference will take even more of a battering , as I said in previous post it’s worrying that all 3 in relegation zone at this time of year are within touching distance of safety where as normally at least one is cut adrift by now

Everton winning , if that stays the same then only 5 points clear of drop …

Leeds can score goals , I agree with Bournemouth but that’s the only team I feel is defo going down for what my opinion is worth , and although they losing today forest at home are a tough side

Forest have had the reverse of our fixtures this year, they’ve played most of the other bottom sides and have a tough looking set of remaining fixtures. Apart from their last game of the season 🤣 of course I realise there’s an element of straw clutching in this argument. At least they can score.

A mixed weekend but the forest equalizer was a god send as it keeps them both in the mix and stops everton getting 3 points.

The arse winner V bournemouth was also a god send. Wolves win was unexpected as was saints win but that keeps leicester in the mix.

All told still 5 points clear with a game in hand over everton is ok after a disappointing palace result.

We are now in the mix but have points in the bag. Its perm any 3 from 9 this season!!!!

Yep agreed but after the next three games we really could be bang in the mix and I’m not sure we have the fight to get out of it …

I am very concerned. We are just simply not scoring enough goals and are bang out of form. Saving grace is that the defence for the most part is not conceding a huge amount of goals per game. Putting aside the defeats to Spurs and Fulham.

Palace now down to 8/1 for relegation.
I bet on them twice, at 25/1 and 20/1. Looking like good bets now.

As we are now being included as being in the relegation scrap I have added us to my XLS.

8 of our last 10 games are V relegation opponents, including our last 5 home games.

IMO We need 11 points from our 13 remaining games.

There are currently 24 relegation dog fights which is a lot (40%) of the remaining games for those in the fight!!! This is what should keep the required points low.
