Apparently Celtic want him and he's a supporter. As I don't see him as a key player for us happy to let him go in January for a decent fee I would like us to bring in another creative midfielder.

People seem to forget Palace bid £25m for Sarr at Watford.

Friends at Watford say Sarr pleaded not to go to Palace with Roy and his brand of football, let alone Watford turning down the bid. Which bright players want to play defensive based football.

In reality we have been linked to many players, apart from Eze with a 5 year deal (Mitchell perhaps) how many players were we linked too, that went elsewhere...

I wonder if Sarr watched us yesterday?

I agree the 'emphatic' wins v west brom and leeds both had two pivotal decisions go our way, and issues do emerge when you scratch the surface - criticism is fair but there are positives too, and some of us think concentrating too much on our weaknesses masks the achievement under Roy - eight years in the top flight now, four of them down to him. We need a shake up in the summer, squad wise certainly, and a manager younger than 74 years of age is probably required too.

As for McCarthy's disappearance there are a few suitors sniffing. I prefer him to McArthur now who is on the slide, but we need a bit more offensive threat in there, be it a powerful or creative midfielder, not just ankle snapping and short simple passes, apart from Riedewald our midfield is a bit predictable and pedestrian so if McCarthy goes and we got in one of these Tufans or Kamaras I would be very pleased.

Pivotal decisions are irrelevant if you don't exploit them. We did; both times; full credit to both player and management.

I recall not too long ago getting beaten by Brighton after they went a man down in the first half. We have it in our skill set to be handed a gift and then chuck it away

Originally posted by Willo agreed and i'd say a few Pl fans too.

I suspect some supporters of clubs outside the PL hearing the cries of "Roy out" would be somewhat perplexed as to quite why some of our supporters want Roy Hodgson to be removed of his duties.

They have a yearning for their teams to be in the hallowed land of the PL, and would wonder why some of our supporters are calling for the head of a manager who has kept us in the PL for the past 3 seasons on a limited budget. How they would wish their clubs would be in our position.

Todays result was great but it doesn't get Roy off the hook in my eyes.
We are very ordinary in the first half and doubt we would have got the result bar the sending off which was lucky for us as it was never a red for me.
we won so I am very happy but overall still a little underwhelmed given our poor performances versus Brighton, Burnley and Newcastle.
The league is wide open this year and it will be our best chance for our highest finish ever although we still might do that of course.
think of this - wins against those three - 8 extra points and today we would be on top of the Prem by 2 points!
That is how open this season is!

Word! Its what we have been saying all along.Let this team play to their strengths and allow them to express themselves, playing positive football and we have a squad thats impossible to beat. So Roy out brigade is vindicated. Maybe it should be Roy tactics out?

If we keep racking up points at this rate, we end the season with 55 points...on a relative shoestring budget. So whatever fans may want is irrelevant. Our owners won't be sacking him unless that 55 starts to look like 35.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Playing the 10 men of one of the worst teams in the division is not the same as playing the best team in the division. Roy tactics will be invaluable on Sunday. Play against them to our "strengths" and we could get tonked.

Concede 65% possession, defend stoutly and hit on the break and we could do a rare one on Spurs. And...

This site will be stuffed with people saying: yeah we won, but we were lucky/played awful/would have been different had they not hit the woodwork etc.
