I'm not that a regular attendee this season but I recall Sorloth coming into the team about the same time as AWB - a tough run of games when he didn't get much opportunity . I was overall impressed by what I saw and I don't think Roy persevered enough with him or Wickham, who are both in a similar mold - ball players who are also team players. Managers can judge quickly. Ayew has had time after a first season when I thought he was poor. Tosun im not sure is better than Sorloth or Wickham.

I know he wasn't very good but there's something very strange bout this whole 2 year loan and no recall clause. We get £6m when they sell him on to the highest bidder, probably making them a fantastic profit, which one can only speculate, for one of the highest ,free scoring forwards in Europe.

I think people are forgetting how much he cost and the clauses presumably in his transfer to us. I seem to remember around 14mil including add ons was around the final price. If we sell him we will need to get quite a bit over 20mil to really make any real money. The profit is going to be minimal and the loss at 6mil will probably be around a 4 or 5 mil loss. None of this includes wages or agent's fees, or signing on fee - we are probably still paying some of wages whilst on loan. This is not a signing that has worked for us.

Wasn’t Tosun sensational in the Turkish league, which is essentially a Mickey Mouse league. Apart from the German, Spanish, Italian and to some extent the French and Dutch leagues the other leagues are not that great.

Whilst Sorloth is officially still on our payroll we will never see him back here again as we have effectively sold him but on deferred terms so it's now time to move this thread to Football Talk

He’s a registered Palace player on loan at another club and what actually happens at the end of his loan spell remains to be seen. Some very strange merging of threads of late (The Phillip Schofield one of today being buried in the BBC thread for example???) and this being moved to Football Talk?...just wrong.

And keeping the messageboards flowing by tidying up duplications and other drivel makes the site more easily readable. Oh yes, and they really love it when jerkoffs give them a hard time or otherwise insult them for doing it so you just crack on, fella. I'm sure it's much appreciated.

Monaco have reportedly offered Sorloth's current side €15m,but they are refusing to sell, planning to write €48m release clause in his revised contract, while meanwhile,we struggle as an entire team to exceed his fantastic goal scoring achievements this season.
