Benteke put in a good shift against Manure. Hopefully, he'll put in an even better one against Chelsea?

Sorloth is raw with limited control or skills, being a big strong lump isn't enough in the Premier, he was very disappointing.

I do understand football, & I am not alone in my thinking re the utd winner. Benteke is the person who does not seem to understand football.

Maybe all those ex pros on tv who criticised Antonio or whoever it was for West Ham who tried to set up a winner for no support in the box before Wilf got the equaliser at Selhurst don't understand football either.

Basic rule is that if a result in the balance and the ball is at their end you take it to the corner. He does that and he wastes plenty of time, we get our shape the chances of them scoring reduce massively.

I admire his moaning about no pass in his own half then 30 seconds later passes it away. Seriously needs to pull his socks up. Oh dear. He does, after the ball has bounced off his shin and is 3 yards away to be won.

Need some big performances from him. Many of them.

Sadly we won't be getting them; maybe letting his brother go has something to do with his demeanour?

Perhaps if Sorloth would have clipped the ball into the space in front of Benteke (last couple of minutes, put it in the corner etc) as opposed to behind him he wouldn't of had to adjust his run and towards the side line. How long do you want to go back in the game to identify the culprit for the goal?

Every goal conceded can be broken down in tiny errors or incorrect positioning thanks to the various camera angles that are available now but ultimately we lost to a wonderful strike of which Matic would probably repeat once every 2 seasons. There really wasnt a lot that Palace could of done to prevent the goal.

Forget about camera angles. It happened right in front of my face in my seat with perfect view in the main stand.
Handing over possession to a Man U team who had the taste of blood and everyone in our half ready to attack was suicide. There‘s simply no defending it, no matter how much you may want to.

I have no reason to want to defend Benteke so I don't understand that element of your post. I simply disagree with you.

Benteke never handed over the posession, he never had it. There was no reason for Sorloth to release the ball as he wasnt under any pressure. Once he is under pressure he has 3 options. A) put it in the corner on his side of the pitch and ask Utd to build from their own Keeper. B) Put the ball in the opposite corner over the opposite full back and turn him round. C) Play the ball into Benteke's feet and see if he can hold it. He done none of the above and his reaction when he realises he has made the wrong option is there to see. But obviously not from your perfect view perhaps.

Irrespective if it was the right or wrong option for Sørloth to play... he did.

Why did Beneteke let it go out.... he literally let it go out.

Not knocking his overal performance that game as imo if it was for Benteke we'd like have conceded two more goals and he was very unlucky to have the best keeper in the world keep him out.

But hands in my head when that happened.

Because he was absolutely knackered at the end of a long, tough game. The same reason Luka probably didn't close down Matic quick enough.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

I have been thinking this as well.
Players DO get fatigued towards the end of games both physically and mentally.
