What on earth are they doing and where are they coming from?

With so much shut down I would have expected tourism would have stopped completely. There have been almost no foreign tourists here in Cornwall this year. In normal years they dominate except in high summer.

When one hears about the effect of the 'Tier' system on hospitality perhaps one thinks about Public Houses, however what are also aversely affected are grassroots clubs whose clubhouses cannot function as before on account of the fact that they don't serve substantial meals.
This is a loss of a valuable source of income for so many non-league clubs, many if whom have already suffered due to the curtailment of last season.

There seems to be a lot of debate about what does or doesn’t constitute a substantial meal but not much on why one needs to be sold with alcohol. Does the virus know?

I don’t know what a lot are doing but many are claiming to be visiting family. Foreign travel has not stopped at all during the pandemic ( although I believe it should have). At Gatwick they have been receiving foreign tourists everyday, although at present very very few. So yes there have been visitors arriving throughout
