Unfortunately... you’ve hit the nail on the head. Global debt now dwarfs pre 2008 levels and they didn’t fix the roof while the sun was shining. Just hope people remember the steps that brought us here once all has blown over. Lessons to learn by all, myself included.

A lot of people are putting negative connotations on to this virus and even making casual jokes about it. The virus is a living thing and should be respected as such. Just because it looks different to its parents, it doesn't deserve to be treated like this. The virus itself cannot be blamed for its poor upbringing. Virusity is a strength. SK.

Well good luck and nice post, easy to read. Didn’t start with a new sentence on each line. It made me smile. Do be careful albeit I am starting to question the authoritarian dictation. In the meantime we need to air on the side of caution. Ha

It's a very pc virus. It will infect anyone regardless of creed, colour, political stance, religion, sexuality etc.

once heard a guy on TV with HIV said he's changed his perspective and that he was a host welcoming in a living thing, namely a deadly virus, people with problems need to stay positive but this was an especially large pair of rose tinted spectacles, don't let's be beastly to the virus as Noel Coward might have had it

Interesting article from Peter Hitchens [Link] The mortality stats percentages are not reliable as there are so many people who had the virus and never got treated and therefore counted. The majority of those dying had underlying health conditions which is the same fact as occurs with flu and flu related deaths. We are allowing an awful lot of our freedoms to be signed away for something that, IMO, is (mortality wise) not a lot worse than flu and we have never in the recent past ever acted like this because of flu. A best mate of mine and his wife are doctors within the NHS and working flat out in the London intensive care units. They would be mortified to read your opinion that the current pandemic is no worse than your standard flu. The NHS is almost at breaking point and they are treating patients who picked up the virus 10 days ago. It was barely on our radar 10 days ago. This will get drastically worse to the point that there won’t be room to treat the sick. This is serious and needs to be treated as such by everybody. Not respecting the governments request to stay at home is wreckless and selfish.
