Here you go. Table if points were from calendar year only I hope, when we have a bigger and better balanced squad, that in a few seasons time, maybe next season, the table in May will look like this, we'll get into the Europa and Roy will do what he did for Fulham and we will have away days in Bruges and Copenhagen and dazzle the Europeans with our delightful football and red and blue diagonal sash and enjoy a brief window of illustriousness not the usual flash in the pan before it all implodes, a new stand and regular crowds of 35000+ would help to sustain this - and it is possible, it is within our reach if we can sort out our financial set up, and we might even be the south London power house, Leicester, Charlton, Pompey, Ipswich, QPR, Derby - similar sized clubs who have all had their days in the sun, it's time we had ours. On the basis of 1.35 points per match (27 divided by 20) we are looking at a further 24 points to take us to 51. Add in a couple of unexpected wins and who knows where we could be. Would be nice if we got enough to be hosts for most of our pre-season matches - rather than just the one.

Think we might need a fair few years before we see a steady stream from the academy. Edited by Booted Eagle (15 Nov 2019 5.18pm) A fair few years indeed, which is why it is essential we focus on staying in the Premier League so we can build up both finances and street cred as a regular Premier League team.

End of year report. 2019. Yep. I reckon most Palace fans would have bitten your hand off if, at the start of the season, you'd offered us 27 pts from 20 games at the year end (I certainly would have!)

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Transfer's - Loans' by Midlands Eagle Am I the only one thinking its going to be another window where the club do the minimum of business in this window, Its becoming a farce, Does anyone think that if we have financial problems that Parish should at least share some form of information with the genuine supporters of the club, We are now basically a third through the window with no real indication of anything happening, Or is it going to be another window where Parish waits to the last minute and relies mainly on loan's. We do have an ageing team I think an average of about 29. With 11 of the first team squad currently out for one reason or another, I think in everyone's opinion Barring Parish & Freedman. We desperately need help with the small depleted squad we have, Roy has recently indicated that he is unhappy with the situation, Will it be yet another Manager that gets despondent and leaves, The common denominator in the amount of Managers coming and going is Parish and a combination of wrong appointments and others leaving for other reasons, But this all points to Parish. On another note we had the Parish fanfare of the stadium redevelopment press releases and any publicity he could get, If it's not going to happen please get it off the main page of the official site as its quite embarrassing The talk of the buyout, Lets hope that we get a new forward thinking chairman

My crystal ball ( no pun intended ) is that failure to invest in the squad ,for whatever reason will mean after Roy ,we will likely flirt with relegation then get relegated. Time frame, 3/4 years. SP will bang on about the club existing and we will unlikely ever get the funds required for promotion. Selhurst will never get developed. I will still have 2 STs and support the team.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

If this failure to improve the squad, to lower the average age, to plan for life post-Roy (which will happen sooner rather than later) and to plan on replacing Zaha (even sooner) is not addressed as a matter of urgency, we will go down at the end of the 20/21 season. Guaranteed.
