Parish has gone on record as saying that there isn't a downside which I assume meant that he could get a good fee for him if he didn't work out here

Our business decisions on players aren’t turning out to be very good ones, and that’s because the scouting or decision makers aren’t up to the job. Murray and Meyer spring to mind and a lot of this stems from ex Palace players without the experience or ability making them.

It’s a bit of both.

In Hodgsons post game comments he seemed to me to have a dig at parish and freedman over transfers. You have to wonder about someone like Meyer, he clearly isn’t fancied by the manager so why did we sign him? Parish thought, it’s a free, so no downside. What would be better would be giving the manager the players he wants to play in his side,

As for Hodgson he really is a mixed bag. He is terribly predictable and just cannot make decsisve personnel or tactical changes during games which is terribly frustrating as we lose points from winning positions time and again.

I’m bored with Hodgson but it won’t be forever, or will it? Parish would love it to be.

Trying to command a nice fee for a player bereft of confidence who hasn’t played much might be harder than Parish thinks, and Meyer will do a Riedewald and reject any kind of club he doesn’t fancy.

The downside to signing players the manager doesn’t fancy is it never works out. Meyer has to hope a new manager comes in over the summer for a fresh start.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

I don’t think Hodgson will be fired.

If it becomes fairly nailed on that we are going down, AND there is enough time left to make a change and actually turn it around, then it’s still only a maybe.

This would be handled more like Pardew than FDB - long drawn out affair with the sacking coming far too late.

However if Hodgson retires - not an Allardyce type retirement, but a real one, then anything is possible.

How many times after a game can he say:

"I thought we deserved 3 points today"

Well said.

You would say that with your narrow view, as i said to you, there is more to international football than just tournaments, but you cam only judge him on tournaments.
I already proved to you that his OVERALL record as manager of England is the 4th best of 17, but you keep reverting back to his tournament record because you can't accept that you were proved wrong when you said "he is the worst manager England ever had"

You maybe bored with Hodgson, but the majority aren’t.

No you didn't. You excluded managers to manipulate the figures to support your inaccurate statement.

Even so, you could only get him to 4th, which is a big climb down from the best ever.

As for narrow views, that's a bit rich coming from someone so single minded about Hodgson being a superb manager when empirically, he isn't.

What are you basing that on? The more vociferous posters might be shouting down all opinion to the contrary on here, but that doesn't necessarily translate to overall majority satisfaction.

If he wasn't forced to change the lineup Vs Fulham because of Wilf's suspension it would be the same line up and tactics as against Southampton. As it is, I don't expect Ayew or PVA are in any danger of being benched.

And as for the Schlupp on 75 minutes no matter what 'tactic'? How's that going to play in the Fulham training meetings?

"We know Roy is going to do this, so what do we do?"
"Nothing gaffa, it's totally ineffectual"
Sorted, that was easy lads.

That said, he'll probably start now Wilf's out, wouldn't put it past him.
