Is that a ‘The Revenant’ reference? No, it wasn't what I had in mind, but The Revenant is a film I do want to see at some time. On the other hand, I have seen Paddington 2!

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Wilf on Pens...? ' by bexleydave Assuming he stays antihero season, shouldn’t we be trying to inflate his worth as much as possible prior to his undoubted sale. If he was on pens then this would add to his stats and inflate his price further... Obviously Luka is the main man on pens, but surely Wilf can knock them in too. So wouldn’t it be worth letting him take them this year. If he stays fit he could score a plenty this season, throw in pens as well and we could be selling a 25 goal striker with skills to boot... Why? Clubs know how players score goals, being a penalty taker isn't going to make any difference.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle With Hazard now likely to stay at Chelsea,Real apparently ending their interest, fully expect Wilf to stay with us for at least another season as cannot see other possible club meeting our valuation.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Wilf Zaha was never going to be leaving Palace this season and we have absolutey nothing to fear. It the same s***e in the newspapers year in and year out. Tottenham,Chelsea, ManCity , Liverpool and Everton all trying to sign him. It is no different from that poxy article that surfaces every window about us trying to sign that stocking of piss Khouma Babacar from Fiorentina. The man looks unbelievably content and happy at Palace so expect him to be here a lot longer.

He’s strong and I enjoy playing with him.” Post-match comments after yesterday's game. [Link] People peddling Wilf transfer stories are looking sillier and sillier.

Why? Clubs know how players score goals, being a penalty taker isn't going to make any difference. Harry Kane isn’t worth more because he can also nail a penalty? Of course he’s worth more... If Wilf takes and scores pens well then this would add to his value... If he goes next year we should look to boost his value by all means including putting him on pens, IMO.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle You don’t assign someone penalty duty to increase their value. You put the person who is the best and most reliable penalty taker and who has the most composure. This is not always your strikers or most prolific goal scorers. I’d stick with our Serbian for this. I can't believe Wilf is speaking with a forked tongue - saying one thing and meaning something completely different.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Wilfried Zaha' by Midlands Eagle Thought it was a shame that all discussion about him was around silly rumours. Can we just sit back and appreciate him at the minute. I thought last season he took on a new leadership role brilliantly and having just seen the Reading highlights, it is just an absolute pleasure to see a local lad playing at his level in a red and blue jersey. His touch, his unquestionable skill, but also his decision making and pass are now phenomenal. If I was an opposition fan I would be absolutely terrified every time he got the ball. End of last season he was unplayable at times even while still possibly holding an injury. But now with a full pre season, my lord. I honestly think that if he stays fit, the big clubs next season are going to be kicking themselves that they didn't bid 70 while they could! Best player I've seen in a Palace shirt hands down. I've just spent two days trying to get back from my holiday, waiting around in airports arguing with Ryanair. But after seeing those goals all is well with the world! Sorry in my delirium I must've missed the other thread Edited by serial thriller (29 Jul 2018 2.54pm)

I think we should have our best penalty taker on penalties so that this club does as well as it can, rather than finding strategies to pimp Wilf out
