After stat breaking start to the season, a nice one to end on.

Crystal Palace are the first top-flight team since Liverpool in the 1899-1900 season to avoid relegation despite losing their first seven matches of the season

At least to date we haven't had to get points in our
last game of the season to stay up, which is a blessing.

We can all relax now and, hopefully, enjoy the West Brom game next week. In the past 4 seasons we have done well in our last home game of the season .. Liverpool 3-3, Swansea 1-0, Stoke 2-1 and Hull 4-0.

So let's see The Baggies off in fine style next Sunday.

My "Experience" and the experience of perhaps the vast majority on HOL is that football can throw up major upsets and surprises so one should exercise a degree of caution where necessary.

I really don't need to respond any further to such goadings or site any further specific examples as my overall message is perfectly clear.

If you had any experience in the world of football you would never have been spouting the nonsense that you have for nearly all of this season.

Had you recognised the change in form and style as soon as Roy took over you would have seen we would have a chance.

Had you recognised our results against the teams around us , even the draws like (WH and NU))when we had 11 players out , and not just the results against the top six you would have seen that we were not as bad a team as others around us.

Had you taken into account the form of the other teams around us like Stoke and Saints and how many games they were losing , you would have seen it was likely we would get out of trouble.

Had you taken into account our run in compared to all the teams around us and thought ours looked more favourable , especially taking into account all of the above you would not have been posting the negative stuff you have for months and months.

Anyone with any knowledge of football would have noticed at least one of the above factors.
You apparently failed to see any and continued your childish 'we are doomed' diatribe and never once showed any faith in the team..

So you either know nothing , or you are an attention seeking troll, take your pick.

Apologies to all for giving him the attention he craves , bit TBF he is good at what he does.

West Brom 1-0 Spurs. Maybe we will have a chance to relegate them aswell.

Well that’s WBA off the bottom! Glad we’ve done it ourselves as these ‘unlikely’ results are happening.

Honestly I wouldn't begrudge WBA a win on the final day. Palace have done their job, and are safe. If WBA are really up for it, well played to them. Darren Moore has done a terrific job for them.

I'm not sure I fancy playing them since they dumped Pardew and I'm jolly glad we don't need to do them to stay up.

All that jubilation at the hawthorns could all be for nothing if Southampton beat Everton tonight
