There is every chance that the "No indoor mixing" regulation could continue into the spring. On reflection (Over an hour since I posted the above), I believe the "Indoor mixing" rules might well change following a backlash and further consideration. Edited by Willo (26 Nov 2020 2.26pm) I think more and more people who aren’t vulnerable and not meeting up with vulnerable people are ignoring the mixing indoors rules. Mixing in HOMES was always going to be THE issue. What happens inside hospitality venues is important, not that just one type opens because people are eating. In terms of Public Houses, they spent a great deal in becoming Covid-Secure with signage, socially distanced tables, face coverings, table service etc etc. I cannot see the logic of NOT being able to sit at a table with my wife enjoying a tipple or two without having a "Substantial meal" but being permitted to avail of alcohol at this same table providing I place an order off the menu. In a 'Local' we frequent there are a number of charming regulars who remain seated at socially distanced tables whilst just imbibing alcoholic beverages and the public house will lose their trade.

Luckily there’s a lot of boring people in Surrey along with the rest of it so we’ll always be better off with these tiers and restrictions, we’d hope. Of course a lot of us are sensible when needed. Surrey from tier 1 to tier 2 like lots of other ‘regions’ or counties.
