Boro lost, but it was worth a punt. Tonight's Worthless Cup matches: Multiple on Birmingham ht/ft 6/5, Man Utd ht/ft evens and Man City 8/11. Alternatively... Leicester to beat Man Utd 11/2. United rarely take this competition seriously and look vulnerable against in-form Leicester. Preston to beat Birmingham 6/1. Preston won at St Andrews last season and Blues were under-strength in round two.

Preston to beat Birmingham 6/1. Preston won at St Andrews last season and Blues were under-strength in round two. Surely one of the best wins I have ever had. Apparently O'Leary has counted himself out of the Ireland job.

The following (or similar, if edited) should appear on the Slug's Tips page, if Penge gets the time to post it. FORM Coventry's last four away from home in the league have yielded 7 points and 5 goals, as compared to Palace's last four at home in the league, which have brought us 7 points and 11 goals. (Thank you Andy Johnson!) Coventry have no real injury worries, and the team news to note seems to be that Lee Mills is rested, and Dean Gordon plays. So that's one goal for them. On the Palace side, Routledge, Thomson and Akinbiyi are not yet fit to play, Fleming is doubtful, but I hear that Symons may return to the side after playing a full ninety minutes for the reserves on Monday. TIPS This should be a close match, like the last time we met when Coventry edged a 1-0 result in the league. Both sides should score. Draw / Crystal Palace - £2 at 9/2

Agreed -- outsider of the day has to be Oldham, especially at that price. West Ham have an appalling Cup record against lower division opposition, and are on a run of bad form at home in the league at the moment. I think Spurs will be too strong for Burnley though, but the price for Burnley is attractive. Another possible upset could be Sheffield Utd beating Leeds at 15/8. Tonight's multiple will probably be from: Aston Villa 8/15 If Southampton can keep up their recent standards, I think they could do well at Anfield, but probably still won't quite be able to beat them. The draw is worth 3/1, and Draw/Liverpool is 7/2.
