As is the Royal Marsden in Sutton/Belmont. Typical Sad Dick Khunt & TfL, lets grab money in transport taxes before we get found out . . .
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

I was talking to a young nurse at the Princesss Royal hospital in Farnborough last month, and she was saying that she has a big dilemma coming because of the ULEZ expansion. She has an old non compliant car and can't afford to replace it on her salary. She has no direct public transport from where she lives, and is contemplating chucking it in and finding better paid work closer to where she lives. Well done Khunt. Well done.

I mean just to clarify the story

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Anyone who thinks ULEZ has anything to do with cleaner air is kidding themselves - Just wanted to share this with you - In Tehran they also have a traffic problem (go figure) their solution to it is geared to the last number of your cars registration plate - the days of the week are allocated to either odd or even numbers: Sunday = odd / Monday = even (etc etc) so on the days where your car isnt allowed into the city its public transport or car sharing - Obviously middle classes tend to have several cars so providing they get at least one car with an odd plate & one with an even plate then they are good to go any day of the week.

I don't drive, the Princess Royal is my local hospital (what a joke) it really is awkward to get to the buses go all around the houses and the nearest train station is miles away.

A relative of mine has a similar problem - a senior radiographer in A&E driving up from Maidstone area every day. Public transport not an option because of shift patterns - and don't forget that on top of this new charge they still have to pay for parking at the hospital.

Maybe she and the local plumber should buy a tandem she gets to work and he carries a boiler and his tools.
