Meanwhile the EU is only going one way.....Still, it has fantasists like you to BS about it doesn't it. The point is that the debt/GDP ratios are very similar but the big difference is that the other large economies of the world want to make deals with the EU - not the UK. A single market of 500 million consumers (nearly double that of the US) is always going to trounce one of 62 million any day of the week when it comes to priority is negotiating and closing international business. This is what many people in other EU countries can't understand, that the UK is prepared to cut off its nose to spite its face simply to show everyone it can 'go it alone'. Nice for British pride but a true disater for the UK economy. Edited by europalace (13 Jul 2017 8.01pm)

Pathetic response from Mr Chip-on-shoulder. Did you leave the U.K. because you were a clueless moron, whom thought the world owed him a living just because he was ambitious? However Britain did not recognise your 'talents'. Hence the anger and frustration? Edited by matt_himself (13 Jul 2017 8.48pm)

You try to make a non point about debt, embarrass yourself to anyone other than remoaners, and now it's this. We have already had very positive noises from other countries and other European countries outside the customs union do fine. We will trade with the EU and we will trade outside the EU. People like you are seriously in fruitcake land. The EU's debts are only going one way...We are on firmer ground....they just had to rescue two Italian banks....many others are near the brink of collapse and then you get absolutely deluded people like you boasting while the boat is having to be constantly bailed out.

Being called silly by you is quite the compliment. It's like an endorsement.
