Hopefully just precautionary given the unpredictability of Iran.

I hear though that the Iranians will do all they can to avoid an escalation as they know they are incapable of competing and are facing political challenges at home.

So any escalation would more likely come from Israel. Is that really possible at the moment? Would the Biden WH allow it during the election cycle?

Biden's masters will be able to sell more weapons, steal more oil and then get contracts for rebuilding. Bush lite. But he's not Trump so it's all good. However, it might taint his wonderful legacy.

Sounds much more Trumplike than Biden. Except he would expect the Hotel contracts.

I cannot imagine the Biden administration approving an Israeli attack on Iran, which would require their support, during the run up to November. It’s a vote loser.

Funny that because there weren't all the usual US wars under Trump. But under Obama and now Biden - more of the same as usual. Normal service is resumed.
I did get a laugh out of hotel contracts. He'd maybe want a couple of golf courses but he better carefully explain what a bunker is. Or he'll get a three level 400ft deep chemical factory with five metre thick, reinforced concrete walls. Try playing out of that with a sand wedge.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

And explain what having 18 holes means!

Give the contract to the IDF and you would need those bunkers!

When are we going to hear proper information on the assassination attempt on Trump? All we have had is stone walling.

When are we going to hear about who did what on Epstein island?

When are we going to hear about the pipe bombs planted at both parties headquarters?

No wonder trust is so low.

Had a long chat with two American mates last night.
One in Chicago and the other in New York.
One a devout Republican and the other, somewhere in the middle - albeit he doesn't like Harris.
Our media appears to love Kamala Harris and all we read are good things about her and right now we don't hear much about Trump and so my belief is that Harris will win.
They fear the same but tell me that she hasn't spoken to the media - except at public rallies for nearly three weeks.
She is avoiding journalists at all costs and yet the majority of them are giving her an easy time, despite that!
This is a quote from an independent journalist and makes interesting reading - “It's even worse because she didn't have to campaign for a single vote to become the nominee, didn't have to debate, was just anointed by a cabal of Dem elites who then announced their choice to grateful followers. But it's the media's role to insist on this, and they won't.”
And this…”Kamala's refusal to utter a single substantive view on anything except abortion and LGBTs - let alone to sit for an interview - should obviously be the major grievance of journalists. All should be hounding her to do so, and denouncing her refusal. But we know why they're not.”
Scary stuff

I said this was the plan all along. It was obvious that Biden should never have sought a second term but by allowing him to do so the Democrats kept their options open.

Harris was hopeless when she went for the nomination and was the first to drop out. By coming late to the party she had avoided much of the media scrutiny that candidates normally have to suffer.

American politics is brutal but so far she has had an easy ride, it remains to be seen if this will be allowed to continue.

The "anyone but Trump" side of the media is huge and so she may well get away with it.
The debate is taking place on ABC - is that favourable to her - sorry - I don't know their politics.

It's owned by Disney and is regarded as leaning towards the left. By American standards anyway.
