Edited by Stirlingsays (11 Jul 2017 7.39pm) The number of reported acid attacks on Muslims has gone up. There are reports that a lot of Europeans upping sticks and going home according to LBC last week because of changing attitudes towards them. Of course we cannot lay the blame entirely at Brexit's feet, but constant anti immigrant media bias and rising islamaphobia have to my mind been ramped up by the whole 'take our country back' rhetoric that we saw during the campaign.

James O'Brian is rather a useless bloke who really does not understand what a referendum is or actually means. Vince Cable is on another planet too. We ARE having Brexit and nothing will stop it I am afraid so people must live with that fact whether they like it or not!
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

I think it's excellent that economic immigrants might not be coming here in the same numbers....though I would heavily dispute your certainty given the tiny time frame you speak of. I'm pro British youth getting on and your pro economic immigrant belief systems have served them terribly over the the years. This countries companies won't train them because they can employ a foreigner instead, in many instances at lower wages. 'Rising islamaphobia'? What do you expect when you have their extremists blowing up children and murdering people on streets? Edited by Stirlingsays (12 Jul 2017 1.53am)

The fact that the BBC employ him on Newsnight says a lot about their lack of political diversity in thought. Edited by Stirlingsays (12 Jul 2017 1.56am)

So Nick, isn't this anti Brexit media bias and rising anti right hysteria? Seeing as Nigel Farage has a show everyday on the exact same station daily at 7pm, I'd say definitely not. Never used to be a fan of O'Brien before Brexit but it is funny the way he toys with his callers. To be fair on him he always brings facts to the table and I respect him for not sitting on the fence. Too many people have conformed against this "remoaning" idea because a few brexit voters believe it's undemocratic to stand up for what you believe in.

Typical left-winger, thinking the far right have taken over the country (Just look at the Hamburg riots to see that the Left). Acid attacks on Muslims has probably increased, but so has the targeting of young white girls, which is hardly ever reported. How do LBC know more Europeans are leaving than coming to the UK. Have Europeans stopped emigrating to non-EU countries, because of the EU ties? EU Migrants move to the UK for the better opportunity. We pay one of the best benefits in the EU, as well as our education (UP to 1 and Health service being free of charge no matter how much you earn. No wonder there has been an influx into the UK from the EU. I am a strong believer in free movement if you have something to go there for. If you move to a country to claim benefits and stay unemployed then that is wrong. I want my taxes etc top look after the vulnerable British people first, those that have been in the armed service, or just those that have not been lucky. EU isn't a state, it's a Union.

Farage's show can hardly be pointed at compared to the sea of implicitly lefty progressive crap we are constantly subjected to daily on TV and films. Besides, my post was a swipe at Nick's previous complaining post and so was made in context.
