We think we know Palaces position, the reality is we know nothing other than Wilf is not a Palace player right now. Another guess from me is he may be a priority for Palace ,but not for anyone else, doesn’t mean he won’t go just not yet.

True, if say a big team loses a player unexpectedly and believes Zaha can do the job, they'll sign him. Wilf is obviously waiting to see but it hasn't happened - unless he's negotiating. Nothing is signed yet: here or elsewhere.

I blame the BBC. Yep Lineker again ! I find it a bit odd if true , that if he is still injured and no deal is in place that he is still getting treatment at Palace . Also i can understand that if he is still injured no-one has come in and offered him a contract if true . His hamstring is taking a long time to heal this time around he is usually a very quick healer . Alot of ifs and speculation, only time will tell in the end , im sure we will hear something when his contract with his agent runs out , we all know how much Steve hates agents fees, he might just do a private deal with Wilf. Also Wilf wouldn't be the first footballer to retire at 30 , lets face it he has made enough money to provide for him and generations of his kin to come .

This is the area that concerns, yet might suggest the party’s have some sort of verbal going on. Wilfs got us all guessing ,let’s hope that doesn’t apply to the club.

If he does re-sign for Palace, he’s had no pre-season training or game time. I think the relationship he has with the club is such that they are happy to help with his injury come what may. But he’s unlikely to be ready for first team football anywhere in the short term

It is certainly strange and since we don't know the details of Wilfs old contract either was he an employee or was it a contract for services. A lot of people in his sort of position form a limited company which then sells a service to another company ie the club. I seem to remember Murray worked that way at Brighton.

When fit Wilf would have to be worth say £10 m/ pa for two seasons.

Same for Olise so could’ve happened to Wilf even if he was under contract. It’s not the same at all. Olise is a contracted player unfortunate to pick up a nasty injury. Wilf is a free agent through his own choosing. If he’s still injured from last season, as we have reason to believe, he’s fortunate that Palace are willing to help him. If he’s not injured, then he’s putting himself in a situation whereby it doesn’t matter who he ultimately signs for, he’s excluded himself from pre season preparations
