I’m afraid I feel this is a done deal.

Don’t see any problem with it to be honest. He is earning £120k a week, is he not allowed to spend it? I mean what would be acceptable, a 1998 Fiat Punto? I agree with you dp, but I also agree with Cucking. Sure; if someone earns money, then they are entitled to spend it. But flaunting one’s wealth on social media betrays a lack of dignity. I know people in my part of the world who are far wealthier than Wilf, and yes - they’ve got big houses and nice cars and they go on lovely holidays, but they don’t go on social media and say “hey; look at me!”

How about ‘Do your talking on the pitch rather than embarrass yourself.’

How about ‘Do your talking on the pitch rather than embarrass yourself.’ Wilf is a superstar. He will not be with us long, whether he stays this season or not. We should be enjoying every morsel of superstardom that he brings. With all this doom and gloom surrounding transfers, we should be looking at Wilf to see what we are capable of growing at home. Our failure over the last few years has been our inability to bring players through the academy. Honestly, I love the idea that Kirby, or AWB or Kaikai or whoever else in the academy is thinking, if I work hard, I might end up like Wilf. Bringing one, or two or even three players through from our academy per season is the way forward and Zaha showing what is possible is very much part of that. I also like the idea that there are kids living in hard conditions, looking at the likes of Wilf and seeing a way out. I have three kids, I have worked hard to give them a decent standard of living and I would much prefer that they look at Wilf to see what is possible if you make the most of your talents than someone like Adam Johnson.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Don’t get me wrong, he’s a fantastic footballer, athlete and professional. But his values are all upside down going by all the attention seeking posts of materialism. Not for me. Kids hey.

I remain to be convinced that those messages were actually from him. On his account. If someone else posted them then you remove them. Footballers aren’t very intelligent and just because he’s amazing in football boots i didn’t really expect that to change. Speroni is a well rounded person though and our Delaney and Jedi are also model people. Edited by Rudi Hedman (28 Jul 2018 9.52am)

Completely agree. Seeing him pose in front of his Bentley or whatever it is as I literally don't give care whether it is a ford fiesta or porche, is kind of sad. I thought Wilf was better than that. It just seems so tasteless and charmless. I'm getting a bit tired of the hoo ha now. I don't want to sell him but I feel it must be beginning to have an effect on the club. The time must be coming..surely.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I had a post removed yesterday from this thread in which I jokingly suggested that Chelsea had offered £5m up front for Wilf with some impossible to trigger add-ons up to a maximum of £50m. I reckon it’s been taken off, under instructions from SP, because it’s too close to the truth
