'Crapping himself'? The guy who decided to put himself there. Ok, for those interested here is Robinson on what happened with some video of the event. I think it's good that Robinson is pretty much filmed all the time out in public because there are a lot of disingenuous people who will twist and lie to suit their agenda against him. You have what Maple is pushing and you have what Robinson is pushing......I've watched the video and I'm more with Chris's summary of it. Perhaps a person who prefers the 'familiarity of Polish and Nigerian accents myself.' isn't someone who I can expect to view these things dispassionately. Edited by Stirlingsays (08 Jun 2019 11.13pm) FYI, the ribbing about Peterborough was intended as a joke. It’s never funny when you have to explain.

I've read your summary and I've heard some of Robinson's. We will see what happens. I certainly don't condone unprovoked violence. I have no issues with self defence and sensible protection of personal space from possible threats. I've seen how the far left and 'have a go' morons behave around Robinson. In my view Maple you aren't interested in balance and push the pretence that he is instigating violence.. As for which of you two I believe cares for what I feel is important......unfortunately Maple, we don't have a lot in common there. Edited by Stirlingsays (08 Jun 2019 10.55pm)
Of course I have no idea what went on beforehand but what seems indisputable is that "Robinson" was deliberately pursing the guy and struck him from behind. His later statement that "I’m not going to wait for him to attack me. Twice I warned him. Twice I warned his friends" doesn't make too much sense to me when all he needed to do was to ignore him. To offer as his defence that he "got his retaliation in first" seems unlikely to cut the mustard with a Judge. He claims to have been there just with his wife and the other guy was surrounded by friends. It doesn't look like that to me! Robinson was closely followed by a man in a black jacket who then ushered him to the side after he had thrown the punch. People who hold controversial opinions are always going to attract loud mouthed opponents determined to hold them to account. Some are able to know when to bite their tongues and walk away. Some cannot help themselves and lash out. The former can rise to positions of influence. Enoch Powell comes to mind. The latter are destined to just become a footnote. "Tommy Robinson" is his own worst enemy. And that's quite an achievement as he has so many.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

This far right lot are quite sensitive. I'd happily talk to Robinson if he'd let his far-right thuggish security guards let me. Your bad boy pin-up threw a sucker punch Stirling. Like all you far-right boys, you hunt in packs and fight like dirty little rats. It's great watching your pin-up have a meltdown though. You and other racists on here were physically getting aroused at the thought of him gaining political momentum through the ballot box. He didn't and now you and Robinson himself are just lashing out. Proper car crash and it is great to watch. I don’t like this post. Harris is undoubtedly a thug and needs to be called to account for his actions. Yet somehow he is able to convince people he is unfairly vilified despite all evidence to the contrary. People on the HOL may have views that differ from your own but you have no reason to say they are like dirty rats. Show me your evidence or pipe down.

How am I trolling? No, I’m not drunk. I just found what he did truly troubling. Someone gives him some lip and he sneaks up on the guy and hits him to the ground. That’s how a bloke got killed in West Norwood.
I differ with your summary of what happened from the video I watched. If what you said was accurate then I would say some criticism is valid. I also think that if Robinson had been violent without cause the left would move heaven and earth to start legal proceedings. So the fact that nothing is being done here speaks more to me As I have said, I've seen how the left act around Robinson and as with all humanity there are reasonable people and there are unreasonable people. I've said on here that I think Robinson needs to get out because he has a target on his back. That's where I am with it. Edited by Stirlingsays (08 Jun 2019 11.42pm)

That’s how a bloke got killed in West Norwood. Give over. For a man of the world who's been all over the gaff from touring Romania to running Brunei you're a bit soft if you can compare a slap like TR gave that loudmouth to someone getting killed. And as for all this Queensbury rules bollox, it's a tear up ffs. Should he have sent a telegram a week in advance? He pinged him and moved on. The bloke called it on so in reality he's lucky he didn't get his head jumped on when he hit the deck, always give them a shoe when they're down as far as I'm concerned, you don't want them getting back up. Very restrained and decent of Tommy.

The bloke was gobby. Lennon was violent.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'BBC fake news - Tommy Robinson' by Midlands Eagle The whole 'Robinson' or whatever name situation is obviously an area of contention on Hol. Most people are worthy of praise where appropriate and worthy of criticism. I guess this all comes down to different people's view of what the best way to move forward in the UK......so in that sense it's like Brexit in that there are two sides on Hol. For me there are criticisms of Robinson that I find reasonable and there are ones that I find unreasonable.

This seems a reasonable review. The bloke was gobby. Lennon was violent. Yeah, no jury in the world believes that sugar coated version. He knows he deserved it, that's why there's no complaint to old bill.

Agree. I've actually been turning away from him in recent weeks as he's like a broken record and should've settled that case with the police out of court. He's tainted too so although the message is correct, he's never going to help get it across in the mainstream. The fraud conviction doesn't sit right with me either. That said, he's in the right on this, but it's the final nail in the coffin. Can't exactly defend the accusations of being a football thug now even if the bloke had it coming. He's finished.

How about watching it yourself Maple? Yep, that's the best video so far. Robinson shouldn't have punched him, however I think that If I were getting the abuse he gets I'd probably be reacting more than he actually does. But while he didn't punch someone from behind and he was being abused he shouldn't have got physical. But there you go.
