This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave Notice in the window of the coffee shop that is between the Sainsburys cash machines and the cab office, that it is closing very shortly, apparently the lease isn't being renewed (ie by Palace) due to forthcoming stadium redevelopment! Pretty sure Crystals nightclub said the same reason when they were turfed out in the summer

Liverpool have not built a new stadium, they have added to it much like we plan to do. The extra 8,500 seats and other major developments as part of this project I think cost £110 Mill and further developments are planned to take the capacity to 60,000. Edited by Willo (08 Nov 2017 9.04am) My point is how long has it taken the mighty Liverpool to upgrade their stadium. And yet our fans throw their toys about when we haven't done it, whilst only being in the Prem for merely five years.

Not all of our fans. Just a few Muggy moaners on here. Thankfully. The club would be unbearable to support if all of our fans were like the moaners on here.

Just can't understand why he'd make this type of announcement at a time like this, especially with the language he used. Perhaps his ego getting away with him, wouldn't be the first time. Fingers crossed it's the real deal this time.

Fingers crossed it's the real deal this time. Something is in the offing for sure but what constitutes a 'major' announcement for Steve might not be what constitutes a major announcement for the rest of us. I am going to go for we have permission from Sainsbury's to do something to the Whitehorse. Hopefully though it will be a new Old Stand though they haven't got planning for that as far as the application records show.
