In my old job I put a complaint in about a colleague who was west Indian, British though. In his defence he first tried to say that I fancied him and tried to chat him up and because he spurned my advances I put in the complaint as revenge. When that didn't work he changed his story to say I put in my complaint because he was black, he knew what that civil service thought about racial complaints and he knew I could not do a thing about it except say that it was complete crap.

His counter claims about me being racsist disguised the fact that he phoned me up and threatned to kick the sh*t out of me and wreck my car. And the b****** got away with it too. I will also add that this guy was a very nasty piece of work who had previously been complained about for various things. Prior to the problem we got on very well, so it goes to show.

So I'm not sure what your point is because what you say is nothing to do with immigration at all it is something that everyone can face from anyone no matter who they are.

Brits who migrate to Oz ADD something to the country and WORK. Plenty of foreigners come to England and are willing to respect our laws and traditions, however PLENTY do not. Gangs of Kosovans are on the rampage in the Kent coastal towns. Look at the way crime-ridden ghettos have been created in parts of our country. I work in Streatham/Brixton area and it is an utter disgrace. I used to play football with a Brixton copper and he had to put up with so much s*** and constantly being accused of being racist. I'm all for skilled workers coming to this country but for far too long, we've let in w***ers who have abused the system. To be fair, the main problem in this country is the left-wing white people. Pack them off to Russia and Cuba I say!

Bring back National Army Service for all.

Many countries throughout Europe and the rest of the world have National Service. This is normally for 18-year-olds and lasts between 1 and 3 years. There is usually an option between the military or a from of community service. Define what age this is for, for how long, whether it is for men only or both sexes and what options would be available.
We accept the need for national service in wartime and this is just an extension of this. Conscription during peacetime would mean that the country was prepared for emergencies when they happened, rather than having to prepare after the fact.
National service engenders valuable character traits. Young people are taught respect for authority, self-discipline, teamwork and leadership skills. National service also teaches skills which means that when people leave they will be more qualified for the job market. People could train as engineers, IT specialists, drivers, chefs etc. In the long-run this will reduce unemployment and help the economy. National service helps to promote patriotism and a sense of nationhood. National pride is at an all-time low in Britain at the moment and this gives us the chance to rally around a shared cause, no matter what race or culture you come from.
The individual has a duty to put something back into society and national service allows this. Whether it be through protecting the country or helping with social or environmental projects, this encourages the idea of working as a community instead of merely for selfish ends. Indeed this conscripted group could then be sent arouns the world, removing the oppression and fear that causes immigrants to seek asylum elsewhere.
I'm not sure if this has been tried before.
