By the way, until you know what being a Christian is all about, DO NOT tell me how to be one!

You haven't got the foggiest mate.

For the record, Christians do not believe in reincarnation, like you hinted.

I guess you'd look at a website like this mattwebb and say that it's just twisting the words of the bible

If you understood the second covenant then you would understand this website better.

The Old Testament tells us about the law, and sin, and how getting to Heaven based on your performance as a good person is impossible, as none can be good enough. All fall short.

If we sin just once, we cannot enter Heaven.

The New Testament shows us how even as sinners we can enter Heaven.

The Bible tells us the wages of sin is death, basically that the punishment for sin is death, this punishment has already been paid though, by Christ on the cross, which means we don't need to die (spiritually) ourselves.

The second covenant is Christ's substiture for us. He took the wages of sin on Himself.

I don't really care about what it means. My point is that you can pick any piece of a story book and make a sentence sound evil without knowing it's context.

One very important difference between the website you gave against Christianity and the website I gave about Islam is who they are written by.

The Islamic website, was written by Muslims, there was no agenda there. The website you gave was completely opposed to Christianity.

I went to the Muslims to quote what they say, you went to someone else who doesn't understand the Bible, to see what they think of Christianity. Slightly different you have to agree.

I checked out the website, and the examples they gave were completely out of context.

One example was when God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac. This was a test of faith, Isaac was about to do it, when God stopped Him. It doesn't tell you this on the website does it. The website tells you that God wants human sacrifice which is a lie, taking a verse completely out of context.

There is a part of the Bible that says "There is no God". When you put it in the correct context, it is really talking about people who believe there is no God.

See what happens when you take stuff out of context, it destroys the real meaning.

I know what you will say; but I have done this to Koranic verses. Well I agree, you have a point as I have not given the entire context, that is why I gave you a website with a Koran on it, so you could see the context for yourself. I did not take the verses out of context unlike the website you just posted.

Why do you have an answer to any point made that slightly questions the validity of the bible and what it contains (this is a question, I'm not being rude)?

I wasn't aware I was doing that, I was just discussing what you put forward.

I have studied both the Bible and the Koran and this is what I have found:

The God of the Bible has died for mankind, has taught unconditional love and compassion, and overall grace. Even though man are sinners, he not only forgives but blesses man beyond what they deserve.

The god of the Koran is one that demands obedience, demands ritualistic behaviour, such as praying to the East 5 times a day. A god that opresses women and is unbelievably strict, and demands murder and killing of anyone that opposes him.

That is what the books say to me, when read in their context, when read according to the times when they were written, and when observing the people who practise these faiths.

Will God forgive me for not believing in him?

Salvation is a free gift, but how can it be yours if you don't accept it?

Why don't you believe Him?

I didn't use to believe Him, until I saw all the prophecies of the Bible coming true, I couldn't believe them all to be coincedences.

I can't understand how that the Old Testament prophecised Jesus coming as the Messiah, to the exact day, and exact town, and dying in the exact way in which He did was which a coincedence.

Scientists and Historians completely agree that the Old Testament was written hundreds of years prior to the New Testament.

That is just one example.

If you seek Him, you will find Him.

I believe in God. And Father Christmas, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy.

Can I go to Heaven too please?
