Looking at the stats the actual winner was voter apathy.

Turn out at both was down by around 50%!!!!

The labour vote stayed stable at one and was down by 5000 in the other.

Hardly a victory.

The Tory vote was decimated by apathy and defections to more right wing parties. Hardly a surprise either.

I predicted that the tory vote would drop when Sunak was placed in charge due to his race. It dropped immediately by 6% and has not recovered. Its sad that anyone would think like that in this day and age. And you can't say it was due to policies or what he has done. It was immediate.

Those voters have turned to Reform.

Are you saying Sunak was placed in charge due to his race or Tories stopped voting for him due to his race once he was placed in charge?

If the latter then obviously you have proof that it was due to this and not the fact that he was a useless chanceller and a smug g1t that no one wanted as leader in the first place!!

Absolutely. You might almost think Sunak wants to ensure the Tories lose.

The conspiracy that won't die.

As I've probably said before. The idea that they could be this incompetent by accident is even more disturbing.

The country doesn't want the conservatives anymore.

Even if they got something right, that wouldn't change now.

I have a feeling that neither Labour or Conservatives are popular. Neither look likely to deal with any of the issues people care about at all. My main prediction for the election will be a record low turnout - unless Reform can really galvanise people, which I doubt.

Huh? Where the hell did you read this? Not my post that's for sure. I actually thought Sunak should have been the choice in the first place as he was the best of a bad lot. Instead they chose Liz Truss with the now infamous result!!!

I was simply pointing out that as a result of his appointment they lost around 6% support.

This is simply not true. In the middle of Labours last period in charge my mum (RIP Mum) had a serious issue. She called me in the morning and I got her an ambulance at 7am. We were playing liverpool in the FACup and I had everyone's tickets. So my wife and daughter sat with her in A & E, I would take over when I got back.

Got back at 6.15pm. She still hadn't been seen and was on a trolley in the corridor. She was seen about 10.30PM and got a bed at 1am Sunday. Some 18 hours later.

She had an emergency op next morning. She was mistakenly amber stickered (see below). Even so I would have expected her to be seen much sooner that that.

A few years ago I was taken ill at work. Within 20 minutes of arriving at A & E I was seen and was on the emergency op wing awaiting an op within an hour.

Hospital A & E use a traffic light system, and have done so for many years. Red, Amber, Green. If you are green stickered expect a long wait.

Yes its bad now, very bad. But the idea that under labour everything was rosy is not true.

The other reason wait times have increased since labours last term are the number of health tourists we saw when we were still in the EU. Especially in London. And I used to work in Hospitals all over the south east. So I saw it with my own eyes and talked to NHS staff.

So the idea that its all down to the evil tories is BS

Imagine opening with something so rude and then being silly enough to think a couple of anecdotal stories disproves a statistic.

Ah that old chestnut. Anecdotal. Are you on a day trip from the BBS? And did you miss the bit about me working in the NHS?
