I think that you raise some valid points.
It may well be that Parish has not contemplated sacking Hodgson, and that the stories from the press are through leaks from mischief makers within the club.
Obviously this could change if we lose the next few games, but Parish may look at the current 5 point cushion and the teams below us and feel we are not at sacking stage yet.
Time will tell.

Tim, we are in 14th place now. But forget the league position then look at the points away from the relegation zone. Add to that current form, and the injury situation. It’s not a pretty picture.

We seem to have a different version of Roy now. I like and respect him but he seems to be struggling over the last few months. My own personal opinion, but he has not been helped by the clubs Summer purchases with the exception of Lerma. So injuries to an already lightweight squad have left him with few options other than to continually select players that are not up to standard and/or out of form. I’ll park his mis trust of young players for now as I don’t think , Ozoh apart, there are any that look ready to compete at Premier League level.

There does seem to be an issue between medical team and manager. I won’t pretend to know more about football than the seasoned professional that is Hodgson, but introducing Olise into the game last Saturday was a complete nonsense. And has been widely recognised as so.

Parish’s continued silence is resulting in widespread speculation about the managers position. There are two ways you can interpret that. First of all he may not even be contemplating sacking Roy - or, he’s busily trying to recruit someone.

All we are left with then is the media reporting which ranges from the Board being furious with Hodgson after the Olise debacle, through to the search for a new manager and an apparent reluctance to take the job by the supposed candidates.

So if the search for a new man is genuine, then Parish shows the same concerns of most on here. Is he then imagining a crisis too ?

If staying up is a pain then i am all for it.

We know Roy was only a one term manager so, of course, they are busy recruiting. However, for when?

Perhaps that is an issue. Where is the motivation for a fort holding job?

I wonder if the Board are banking on Everton and/or Forest getting dumped by the finance rules? We could save a packet by keeping things in situ. If so this could explain the silence; and the Board will have to fasten their tin hats for the next few months...

Perhaps he will hold up a banner at the Chelsea game

Well he’s not spoken up in support of Roy which is what I would expect a Chairman to do if he supported his manager.

Obviously he can’t say that he doesn’t and he’s looking elsewhere !

He’s quick to be visible when things are going well, even a call for some unity among the support would not go amiss at this time.

Joined the site only last summer. You have to be careful as he could be a fan of 50 years, but spending time in the EPL gathers new fans who have not lived through what us old fans have. They expect too much and vent when not achieved.

It doesn't matter how long he has been a Palace fan , A true fan wouldnt want their team to lose especially to another London club . Even to get rid of Roy , Dont get me wrong we prob will get thumped but i wouldnt want it just to say i told you so. I have been going to SP since the early 70s supported them through thick and thin , its not just a hobby its a way of life .

I have also noticed over the last few months that Alaneagle comes online spouts some vile s***e about the club , calls us all a bunch of Parish cock suckers starts a right old conflict between the real fans then disappears for a few months . A bit of a s*** stirrer. Im not going to give him any more air time .

His silence is fine on this occasion but hopefully he is working hard since we will need a new manager by June - come what may. He will deserve a full pre-season wherever we sit.
Never been keen on the Cooper option but if has indeed refused to take over mid term, fair play to him.
I suppose there's no chance Everton will actually go down. I'd take Dyche. He's a realistic option. Like his passion and not sure his football is a bad as some portray it.
