I must say, the latest news about his hamstring does not sound good. Both he and Eze seem worryingly injury prone.

Yes, unfortunately both have had serious injuries and lengthy recuperation periods. Considering this, there will always be the chance that this is the cycle that will affect their potential for the future.

Thursday could be the ideal time for our Brazilian wonder kid to cement his place in the starting 11.

i reckon it is just an hamstring strain, my guess is that he will be aimed for the Sheff Utd home game on 29th, pointless rushing him back for the Arsenal game

OK. Happy to accept I might fall into fan boy, love affair territory, and also I'm only 41 so haven't seen the full pantheon of Palace talent over the years - but with each passing game I'm finding it harder to think of a player we've ever had as talented as Olise.

When he's not ice cold from the spot, he's scoring belting free kicks, to some beautiful passing to the chest and volley from the other day. Likewise his dribbling highlights are top tier Bolasie levels.

Maybe I'm going mad, but to me I find myself saying he's the best we've ever had more often than a few times in the week. No doubt he'll be gone in the next window or two but could easily be our first 100m player.

Is it just me?

Very few players have had his impact on a game,Don Rogers and Attilio Lombardo could take a game by the scruff of the neck.

I am being tiresome, but due to despair-having to do with the general picture of the team-we have been overworking him.As he is our most precious asset we should have been a bit more protective towards him. If we had used the Francas and the Ahamadas a little bit more, we would have a clearer view as to what they are capable of and we wouldn't be stuck with the same 11 all the time. Now due to many absences we are forced to do it vs. Everton. And as I saw a few Everton games lately, beware of Tarkowski. He is never cautioned, as hard or dirty as he plays and this has made him very arrogant and dangerous. Mateta and Edouard beware!COYP.

Tarkowski has received 4 yellows this season and he received 6 yellows last campaign.
Certainly a no-nonsense central defender who is a strong tackler and blocker.

Roy/club as a whole do need to understand that these attacking players cant be expected to play 90 mins every game. Especially if they are jsut back from injury.

We got away with it with Wilf, but he was a different breed

It’s a pity because if the news reports are accurate there will be plenty of clubs likely to activate his release clause at the end of the season - ironically the one thing that would put them off is his injury record, depending on how long he is out now will influence that. I think he’s a level above Wilf and we’ve got no chance of keeping him. Unless he wants a few more years with us.

Agree with that , If Anthony at United is worth 80 mill plus then Olise, if he keeps playing like he is now and i see no reason why not , he will be 100 mill plus . No-one wants him to go but i think its inevitable . I love his next step to be Barcalona or Real Madrid to tell the truth. He is that good .

Although Utd paid 80 mil for Anthony they were fleeced. He was probably worth 10 mil no more. However Olise is young and has PL pedigree, so 80 mil isn’t out of the question. However the injuries are a concern
