Yeah, you've got a point, guess I mean billionaire Palace fans who could invest. I think I'll take that back then, perhaps they are holding back a bit in investing, but I don't think Harris and Blitzer are that committed to the club given that they tried to get involved with buying Chelsea. We just need someone to buy them out with deep pockets and a deeper interest in investing in us. Anyone know anyone?

I can only think that Henderson was a panic buy, only one that was available that might be good enough and we got done over. I'd still like to know what happened with that CF we were supposed to be bringing in from PSG, sounded like a done deal at the time.

Pretty much mirrors my thinking SK.

Reread my previous post too and apologies if something was lost in the tone, was meant to be light-hearted, not confrontational or b!tchy, so apologies if it read as such (and kudos on the calm response)!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

We've potentially got 6 players out who would normally be in the first team, with Doucoure, Eze, Mitchell, Johnstone, Edouard and Lerma. Ayew is suspended and Rak-Sakyi, who is knocking on the door, out as well. Add in that our cover for Johnstone is also out, and it makes grim reading.

When you look at that I don't think that any team, with the exception of the high rollers, would have an easy time with that sort of absence list.

It's obvious that we need a decent striker, I don't think we've had one since Murray, and our full/wing backs need replacing as well as cover. And we've still not filled the void that Zaha left. I figured that Henderson was a panic buy after Guita did us dirty (although it looks like we spent too much on him) but I am disappointed that Franca now appears to be a future prospect, when the talk around him when we signed him was as the next Ronaldo. Might as well be the next Ronald McDonald for the amount of game time we've seen of him.

The truth of the matter is that unless you've got a ton of cash to spend, you're just not going to have the kind of depth in the squad with quality that we need at the moment. I'm not buying the theory that Parish and the board are holding back, I think it's true to say that Parish has been distracted with the new stand, but I don't know where we're supposed to be getting the kind of money that would buy in four or five, first team ready players. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see it, but I just don't see where we're going to get the finance from without selling our better players and then you're robbing Peter to pay Paul. Add in that agents will smell the desperation and inflate prices and it's all looking a bit screwed unless we can get some high-quality loans in.

Anyone know of a bored, Palace supporting billionaire anywhere? How much cash has Neil Morrissey got lying around? Must of made a few quid from that Bob the Builder stuff...

We could have atleast attempted to loan a couple of players

I think we tried to get Hall in on loan, but then he buggered off to Newcastle at the last second and there was no time to look for someone else, but that leads onto the bigger question of why do we always leave these things to the last second?

Well we have to get relegated some year. If not this one then the next or the one after that. At least we will have a shiny new academy as our legacy from the premier league!......

Maybe Neil morrisey could ask Keith Chapman the originator of Bob the Builder and now Paw Patrol. Yup. There are some pretty smart guys out there. Just not sniffing around the Palace......yet.

SnapperKain gives a list of present injuries in the Premier Clubs. Why is it that so many players are injured week in week out? I suggest that FIFA are responsible. We have just had the third International break and the Season is not half over. This has caused Premier games to be played twice and even three times a week to be able to finish the games on time. Why do we have to have so many International 'Friendlies'? The teams with smaller teams really suffer and I can understand Roy trying to rest Olise on the Liverpool match. Now I see that they are trying to blame the medical staff for the number of injured players still being on the treatment table. Even Eze, who sees Roy's problems. has said that he will be fit to play earlier than the medical staff anticipate but has now realised that this won't be the case. Until we can afford two full teams of first pick players then injuries will be the main reason for relegation

Not to mention players standing around (in the cold this time of year) for 5 minutes 2 or three times a match while the ref has a look at the telly .Pretty much a given this can and will lead to pulls and strains
