It could be that we need a lot more. With Ebbs,Marc and Michael signing new deals it may have been just to ensure we get good value when they inevitably leave us which could conceivably be this summer.COYP

Indeed, when it looked like we were losing Michael Olise' to Chelski, obviously we were upset at the prospect of losing him but what grated even more was at the time it looked like we were going to be losing him for well below market price ( release clause on his contract) Originally posted by Brinscalleagle2

Having seen Boey in action for Galatasaray last night it's a shame we didn't sign him when we were rumoured to be interested as he looks to be a very good right-back. I imagine he's going to end up at a top club sooner rather than later. Eze looks set to sign a new deal, but I do wonder how the bumper deals for Olise and Eze (rumoured to be around 100k pw each) will affect our wage budget for any potential new signings, especially if Henderson really is on 100k pw too.

I can only imagine that the combination of salary increases for those players that have proven themselves to be capable of a higher level on the one hand, and the less successful, yet still costly player acquisitions on the other, will mean the sale of a number of our better players to balance the books over the coming seasons.
