the Toffees thumped Burnley 0-2...at Burnley.

Everton will surely be up near the top of the Form-Table. On 16 points, breathing down our neck.

Everton & Forest have been charged by the EPL for profit & sustainability regs. 2 independent EPL commission will now be appointed. Well now.

Looks like the PL relegation battle will be decided in court!

The PL is becoming like 'Jarndyce vs Jarndyce' in the end matters will be decided in court after the season has ended with nothing left after costs as usual.

Man.City may be charged as well, just hope SP hasn't screwed up somewhere.

Forget the football these court-room dramas are really exciting, plus there is no VAR.

If Everton score against us we will take legal action.

No chance of SP doing that !!!

FFP has often been used as an excuse to explain why we are limited in our expenditure, I must admit, even I have been coming around to forming the opinion of "even if you breach FFP, especially if you only do it in a limited way, well nothing happens anyway - obviously there have been the high profile cases, but to normal teams up until recently it seemed to have been almost a free pass -

Maybe I just haven't been paying enough attention ?

Given that we seemingly stay within FFP rules I for one am glad to see some activity in chasing down clubs that flout the rules.

Now FFP and the Premier is catching up with itself, it is apparently ready to punish the outcomes of las t seasons accounts having just docked Everton for previous season.
So Everton could be facing another punishment.
Beats me where Chelsea and Man City are on all this, as they, as big clubs have shown they do not need protection from FFP rules yet they have to adhere to them
They must both be way in breach of the rules and should be getting treated in exactly the same way.
Problem is there are no clear lines unlike VAR!!!
Premier rely on a panel of experts to determine the outcome of any breaches of FFP.
It's going to get very messy. and dubious.
Football needs to take a long hard look at itself before all these regulations gobble it up.

Knowing the league they will reduce it to 5 points but then take another 5 points for the second charge so they still get the 10 in total. What that means for Notts Forest i dont know

Don't forget the 5 points they will get back for victim status.

I believe Forest will get a 6 point deduction, mainly because the admitted to it & have been actively helping the FA/EPL with their investigations & have sought help with the 2 bodies.

Everton on the other hand have always denied the 1st charge & have hindered the investigations at every turn, as Badger has pointed out, "always the victim". I honestly believe the 2nd charge will be found & a greater points deduction will ensue, as it is the same offence back to back, they may well get a reduction on the 1st charge, say, down to 6 points, whilst i envisage the 2nd charge being in the region of 12 points deducted.

Still, come Monday we will all find out. . . . Or, not.
